Actually just did some testing - it does it here too the print preview is always different to the actual document - tried a few documents - very strange not noticed it before could it be a recent bug in actual word online? It does it in edge or chrome browser and on a actual printer or PDF. Good catch!!!

Pretty much everything MS works fine in google nowadays it's just easier for everyone involved. My staff have gravitated more and more to using google for everything wthout being forced or instructed - if they find it easier they will use it, and nothing microsoft does is easy just look at the abortion that is teams.

How many rooms? Are they IT suites that need 33 ports or just classrooms that need 2 ports for the teacher? You can rough guess it by £1000 per switch plus £400 per access point plus £125 per double network drop then add another chunk on if the company is gonna be designing it/etc for you plus licencing if your using a licence model wireless. Either way - I would 100% stick to a teacher PC and a cat6e drop for each classroom as it makes things so much more reliable having stuff physically plugged in and ready to go my teachers are off and teaching in 60 seconds no fiddling with laptops worrying about cables or forgetting chargers (or forgetting laptops).

Hi All Have all my school staff ipads on ASM and Mosyle all works good. We stop them from signing in using apple ID and so far all good. I've got one app, noteshelf that I have allocated licence to a staff ipad but it seems to be stuck behind it's own paywall that looks to relys on an apple id (more suited for personal devices). When you click upgrade for 9.99 it just says "In-App purchases are not allowed on this device" Anyone got any suggestions on how I can get this working for one member of staff without enabling in app purchases across the board. Is there a way of "one time" signing in and then returning it back to it's locked down state? It's really annoying that the app wasn't just 9.99 in apple school manager as I could just buy the licence and be done with it. Cheers

Using free version of mosyle here for about 70 ipads. I think the interface it a bit clunky but it works. No real issues with our ipads can instlal software lock them down etc.

As sad as it is to see supposedly professional companies mud slinging in public - the do kinda have a point, councils are some of the worst when it comes to benefits, bribary and brown envelopes full of cash so they do need to be held to account given they do what they do, whilst asking cleaners in schools to delclare all their private intersts "just incase"

I can't help but think of covid when the people I know with oil boilers had real big trouble getting hold of oil and at an absurdly excessive price. They were all begrudgingly willing to pay that excessive price though. I guess keeping your family warm is important. It put me off anything that relies on someone with a lorry driving down your drive during a zombie apocolypse forever, though. Hence solar, batteries and transitioning to electric heat as much as possible. It's not perfect but I'll get there maybe with the help of a small wood burner in the future. Problem is SIMS doesnt comply with any sort of recent data protection legislation as it has no logging of user actions nor does it have any reporting functionality. I think you will have real trouble trying to find out what account edited the data. I've banged on about this for a decade but nothings changed. If you want a system that is modern enough to track change and be auditable then move to bromcom or arbor.

You can get around somewhat this by heating up your tank more turning the temp down on your shower and letting it mix more cold water in - makes the hotter water go further. I cant see any normal person wanting any less than a 160l tank though TBH if you want a decent shower or bath.

Were not as it's a really silly idea. The whole point of the google ecosystem is that everything is in drive for anyone to access when they need to from anywhere in the world on any device. Why would you want to spoil that dream by printing things out like it's 10 years ago?

PRM green are now charging big bucks for collections even for just PCs and TFTs so I've stopped using them now. Can reccomend NAD National Asset Disposals same typoe of company but no charging.
