If I'm out and about and need to change a password I use good old NT User Manager which is stored in my home drive. Don't know why it still works but it does! Might be because our forest is showing as 2003 interim, our domain is pure 2003

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious here, and am probably going to feel pretty stupid I'm trying to run simsperm.bat on XP SP2 laptops and am getting 'subinacl is not recognised as an internal or external command' I have downloaded and installed subinacl on the laptops but still no joy. Help!

Interesting stuff. Here's another secret I just found on the PC Pro website(apologies to those who already know of this!!) Bloggers have discovered a secret flight simulator in the latest version of Google Earth. Whilst lacking the sophistication of Microsoft Flight Simulator, the hidden feature allows users to fly over the Google Earth landscape, complete with in-depth satellite photography of the ground below. The feature is officially unlocked by pressing Crtl+Alt+A from within Google Earth, although in our test, we had to substitute Alt for the Windows key to get the simulation to start.

We're currently a split site school and run successmaker from our upper school site, rather than have two separate installs. I get complaints from our lower school LSA's that successmaker is slow to load, though as yet I've not had chance to investigate it. That's over a 10Mb LES circuit, I do find it surprising as I would have thought 10Mb is enough bandwidth Just a word of warning, you may want to test over your 2Mb LES first I'm assuming that you don't have support with RM? I've just renewed ours as when we move to a new site in the summer and I end up having to move successmaker to a new server I want access to support ready for these type of questions as I won't have time to investigate myself.

Just what I was going to suggest! I had a bizarre request a few years back to do the same. Our Head of science wanted to run a Solar System demo program that I think was made for a 486 or even earlier, it ran so fast on a modern PC that it was unusable. I found an old Pentium II (or even 1) and turned off every thing I could find in the BIOS that normally you would enable to improve performance. It takes forever to boot, but now the prog is watchable!

Recently joined for access to training and for future career development (i.e. networking with people!) Haven't yet attended a meeting though!

At the moment the techie and I wear trousers and short sleeved shirt during term time, and whatever in the holidays. I'm still deciding whether to get School Logo'd Polo shirts for both of us for Sept when we move to a new PFI school, or whether I buy a new suit for myself and smarten up.........
