I find that Black Friday/Cyber Monday is really good for electronics if and only if you're happy with last year's model. Generally the brand new stuff doesn't dip much at all, but 12-18 month old laptops and TV's are plentiful. That being said, processors and GPU's haven't really got too much better in the past 18 months (okay, sure, the i9 is a thing now but that's about it) so 'last year's model' is probably still more than good enough. Doctor Who has always had a bit of a running (if very sporadically used) gag with confectionery though, at least certainly since the reboot. I remember Smith at one point when he was covering for Stormageddon's not-mum dad (played by James Cordon, whose character name I forget and honestly just wanted to reference the 'not-mum' line) at work, saying "I'm going to put you on hold for a moment, I have to eat a biscuit.", then again with the TARDIS self-destruct jammy dodger, before all that there was the throwback reference to jelly babies from The Master during Tennant's run, etc.

Oh of course. My hypothesising is working on the assumption that Graham and Ryan get dropped off back home soonish, in the right time period. If they're still travelling with The Doctor there'll be a very confused Karl(?) noticing they haven't aged at all. If they don't 'go home', this is what I see happening too. You know what we've not seen in a while? Torchwood. Maybe if something tragic does happen to Graham, Ryan could join up with them? That'd be cool!

Watched it last night 'cause I was busy Sunday. Jodie seems to be finding her footing very quickly (as opposed to say, Matt Smith, who had a fantastic debut episode and then wend a bit meehhh for a while). I'm enjoying her as The Doctor so far. There were a few off-key moments, as @witch mentioned I do feel she kind of gave up a little too quickly, where Jodie was apologising for failing, previous Doctors would have had that final spark of brilliance that saves the day, but I'm hoping that's because it's still early days. I think overall I still enjoyed this episode but it had a bit less substance to it than the first, but we got some more information on the Stensa (so I'm guessing they're the big bad of this season) and some more character development, so I don't mind a slower episode every once in a while if we get something useful out of it. As for the new TARDIS, I like it for the most part. I really like the crystals, and the interior wall with all the blue bits is lovely. The vestibule entrance, I think, is an un-needed change, the doorway has always been the same in recent memory, that was the one constant about the ever-changing TARDIS, and I think they've changed it just for change's sake. The repeating pattern on the wall is a bit meh, but looking back, all of the outer walls have been a bit meh (Such as Tennant's Dalek-wall). Time will tell what happened with the centre pillar thing that goes up-and-down, I think that was quite a key feature of the TARDIS, but at the end of the day it's not one that's utterly irreplaceable. I still think Graham and Ryan will bond and get dropped off back home, unsure what'll happen with Yasmin. At first I figured she'd be hanging around with the Doctor but there was a moment in the latest episode that makes me wonder if she'll stick around with Ryan as a love interest and we'll see them later on. I mean, I'm assuming the shot of Lee Mack in an orange hi-vis from the after-credits previews of Episode 1 is the same guy Tim Shaw was after, so I suspect we're going to be revisiting those characters later on in their timeline. If it is Tim Shaw's target (I forget his name, guess he's not that special 'eh? ) just all grown up, he'd have aged a lot so I'd guess that Graham wouldn't be around any more, so we might get some references to off-screen character development/bonding between Graham and Ryan. Or maybe Graham will decide this is all too much for him and go home, and Ryan and Yasmin will stick around with The Doctor. Time will tell, I guess.

This appears to have recently stopped working for us. The policy is still set, but the Presenter View tickbox is no longer greyed out, it's automatically ticked, and it's buggering up Duplicate/Clone again (albeit with considerably less frequency than it used to, but still doing it) Anybody else?

The page behaves as expected in Chrome and Firefox, both desktop and Android versions, but with Internet Explorer triggering a CSS element that extends the page downwards causes the background to repeat rather than extend. Possibly not describing it too great, so here's some hopefully-clearing-it-up screenshots.. Agreed.. I quite liked Rose returning home to mum every now and again, that felt real, but the duality of Clara trying to do TARDIS-stuff and normal-life stuff just felt like there wasn't enough time to focus on either one of them and the plot suffered for it. I think that's what we'd be seeing a return to if Grace had 'stayed home', but then again, does Grace really seem like the kind to stay home whilst 'the lads' go gallivanting off around the universe? I don't reckon so. If she'd have lived, she'd be joining them on the TARDIS, but I think with that many companions it would just get too clunky. I do hope Graham and Ryan can stick around for at least a few more episodes and develop a familial bond from their grief and from their adventures (in a sort of 'living for Grace' kind of way, as was alluded to at the end of the episode). Maybe don't keep them on a permanent basis, but maybe for another 2 or 3. I think Yasmin would make a good long-term companion though. She's clearly got drive to 'do more', and seemed to handle the weird just as good well as everyone else.

I gave it a fair chance when it was released, as did a lot of my friends. But the UI is (was?) terrible, clunky and unintuitive. Exacerbate that with the fact that the weird tiley-boxy-pinteresty layout (I found) did not lend itself very well to social media and you have the recipe for a social platform that was dead within a month. Ended up only using G+ and Hangouts for Ingress stuff. Haven't used it since I stopped playing years ago.

We've been having this for years with our HP Compaq Elite 8000 SFF's and AVB378PRO's It's an intermittent but transient issue. It won't always happen, but when it does happen it'll linger for some time, consistently stopping the PC from booting each and every time, before stopping (and again, consistently stopping) where it then won't be an issue again for a long time. We've never found a solution to it beyond unplug the USB, boot the PC, plug the USB back in once you see the Windows 'flag'. When I last reported it (2013), several others corroborated the issue.

I quite enjoyed it. There were the usual "I'm not quite sure about this" moments but I've been through enough new Doctors by now to know that it's just because it's different rather than because it's bad. Jodie's Doctor gives me a bit of a quirky Matt Smith vibe, but not too much for it to feel like she's just a re-skin without bringing anything new. I'm going to disagree with @witch though, I think the funeral setup was a nice touch. It felt real, like it genuinely had emotion behind it, Bradley Walsh absolutely nailed it, and I think it was a great way to show that it's not all going to be quirky fun and games. Of course most of us existing fans know that already but I don't doubt there's been a large influx of new viewers thanks to Jodie (partly because she's a woman and everyone's done the whole feminism angle, and partly because apparently she was very well liked in Broadchurch). Overall I think the inclusion of a few deaths and one sombre scene mixed in with mostly wacky antics and high-stakes, and just a dash of the Doctor ingenuity and McGuyvering we all know and love set the episode up as a great "This is what Doctor Who is about" for potential new fans. Indeed. At first I was incredibly confused about that scene.. Why was it even included? It brought nothing to the plot besides showing us that Tim Shaw was willing to kill random civilians who weren't part of his hunt (which we kinda already knew). But looking back I can appreciate it for it for it's humour. What's Doctor Who without a bit of sporadic daftness, 'eh? Overall.. Pleasantly anticipating the rest of the series Edit: Oh, and whilst the new outfit strangely works.. Can we talk about how well Jodie was rockin' Capaldi's wrecked suit?

The old office wasn't too bad, sure it was a pain to not use an msi but "Here's there installation media, here's the configuration file, go!" was acceptable. I set it as part of our task sequence and it worked flawlessly. This new one is a bit of a pain though.. You've got to download everything with a config xml.. Then apply that config xml because apparently specifying the xml doesn't configure it so why do you have to specify the xml on the download then? Still.. All our staff are fine on 2016 so unless there's some kind of sizable upgrade I think we'll likely wait until next summer to do the upgrade. Edit: OK, I did the thing and now I have no idea what's going on. I made the config and downloaded it, ran the /configure, and all I have are a handful of .cab files and two .dat files. Not exactly helpful. Why you gotta be so awkward, Microsoft? And /packager only seemed to make an AppV package for Visio

Should be! Those 2 steps are all I do when I'm deleting a profile off a machine if it starts playing funny, it always recreates properly, no username.000 etc.

A solution has been found! The ADK creates new deployment images as C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Assessment and Deployment Kit\Windows Preinstallation Environment\amd64\en-us\winpe.wim and \\...\x86\en-us\winpe.wim I copied those across to \\server\SMS_sitecode\OSD\boot\x86\winpe.wim and \..\OSD\boot\amd64\winpe.wim and imported them into SCCM, which resulted in a pair of boot images with the correct version (10.0.17763.1) straight from the get-go. Distributing them to the Distribution Point, and ticking the Deploy this boot image from the PXE-enabled distribution point got everything up and running again. Leaving this thread here in the hopes that it might help someone in future

I actually haven't played it in quite some time. It's not a bad game by any stretch, I think I just get bored of it quite quickly. I think @Mewdewgooboofoo still plays it though.

I updated to the latest SDK and removed the old boot images like a tool thinking I could just make new ones. Can you make new ones? Can you heck! At least, clearly not in any kind of user-friendly manner... SMSPXE.log reads the following: Which doesn't help because it doesn't tell me what file it's looking for that it can't find. So no leads there.. Needless to say I'm a bit off with both SCCM for not being straightforward, and more so with myself for getting stuck in this mess in the first place. As the internet suggests, I've disabled PXE in SCCM, removed the ADK, PXE Add-on and the WDS role from the server, rebooted it, renamed %windir%/temp to temp.old, renamed RemoteInstall to RemoteInstall.old, re-enabled the WDS role, re-installed ADK/PXE Add-on, then re-enabled PXE in SCCM and I'm just back where I started.. Still nothing. I did manage to generate 2 new boot images (one x86 and one x64) from the files stored in \\Server\sms_sitecode\OSD\boot\i386\boot.wim and \...\x64\boot.wim and I've set the task sequences I have to use the x86 boot image generated this way (since they were all set to use the previous x86 boot image before I went and mucked it all up...), then they were the wrong version so I managed to re-distribute those with the "Reload this boot image with the current Windows PE version from the Windows ADK" option ticked (which I guess I should've done in the first place, huh?) so that their version matched the Windows ADK version (10.1.17763.1) but I'm still getting the same errors. At a loss for ideas now.
