  1. Make sure you disable non-admin password recovery! It's in Security, Basic Settings, Enable/disable non-admin user password recovery ›› Google, in their infinite wisdom, allow you to enter an old password to access the password reset if you forget (or someone changes) the current one. Except GCDS/GADS creates accounts with all the same password. You can see the issue here,

Haha I did the same when I re-calibrated last season. I was 2400's at one point. Now I'm Gold. I don't really find ranked as fun as it used to be, though. Too much solo mentality, not enough teamwork. Too many people flaming or throwing their toys out of the pram.
  3. Possibly. I can at least corroborate that the deal was there earlier.
  4. Oh, you beauty <3 That'll do me just fine.
  5. Ditto. I use noise-cancelling at home on the PC, but regular in-ear headphones so I can hear my surroundings when walking to work etc (as in, sit behind the tragus/antitragus in-ear, not 'goes into your ear canal and hurts like a ' in-ear)
  6. Oh yeah. Amazon Prime Day feels very much like a "Let's clear out last year's model." day, but last year's model is still good, especially at discount prices.
  7. Anyone sees a good deal on a Nintendo Switch, holla at me, yo! If not I'll probably wait for the inevitable Let's Go bundles. Wow, that's a stupidly good deal.. Mega tempted.

  9. Immortals A somewhat re-imagining of Greek mythology. The big bad, King Hyperion, wants to pit the Gods against the Titans because he harbours resentment for the Gods, as he prayed to them when his family were dying from disease and they did not answer. It was alright, the visuals were good but the storytelling was a bit 'eh'. The particular McGuffin for this movie is the Epirus Bow, a bow that is supposedly able to free the Titans from their imprisonment beneath Tartarus, which is a shame because to my knowledge that isn't a weapon that's ever mentioned anywhere in Greek mythology. There are other ways a God can be slain that they could've gone with instead, for example the venom of the Lernaean Hydra, which was supposedly so potent it would destroy even immortal flesh, and whilst not enough to actually kill a God, the infinite agony would have them voluntarily abandon their immortality to end it (the method of which Heracles dispatched of Chiron in some stories) Also Zeus didn't throw any lightning bolts.
  10. £10 says a bunch of facebook execs make a point of sitting in a boardroom for 18 minutes doing nothing/eating biscuits/etc just to make a point
  11. Fair point, missed that little inconsistency Though in this case I'd argue it's pretty insignificant either way lol
  12. 18 minutes worth of profit, apparently. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2018/07/11/ico_fine_facebook_cambridge_analytica/ I mean, it's nice to see that something is being done because the fine does set a good precedent, and against a company as big as facebook it definitely points out that nobody is too big and untouchable. ... But it still is pocket change at this point. Hardly even a blemish on their quarterly statement.

[PALPATINE]Do it![/PALPATINE] I think my biggest criticism is that there is one ability that feels ridiculously broken, but I'm not going to tell you what it is Usually I'd be getting a new ability maybe every 2 hours, but after I got this one I'd grabbed the next two within an hour. Edit: It's entirely possible that I'm meant to do it like I did and it's just a change in pacing, though. Dunno.

Picked up Sundered on Friday, I'm around 7 hours in now and it's fantastic. It's a mix of Metroidvania and Roguelite-lite mechanics. Every time you venture into the caverns, swarms of enemies will appear at somewhat regular intervals, getting stronger and more plentiful until they eventually get the better of you. However, enemies drop shards, and each time you die you can spend those shards to permanently upgrade your character. Also, when you die, the map layout randomises a bit. The core structure/layout of the map stays the same, with sub-areas not getting any larger or smaller, but the exact layout within those areas changes. It's hard to explain, but it means routes change each 'life', but since the core structure is always the same, objectives are always in the same general area between lives. Also the map has shortcuts (some locked behind mechanisms like switches, others locked by abilities you may or may not have yet) so once you've been somewhere there's often a way to get there again without going the long way around. And of course, I said 'metroidvania', so there's a huge emphasis on exploring the map and finding new abilities. This is more of the Metroid-flavour new abilities where they're sat in a location until you physically find them, rather than the kill-a-boss-to-get-a-new-ability flavour. Plus, I can already tell that because of certain mechanics, I bet there's multiple endings. But I'm not going to go into any more detail about that coz spoilers.
  15. Merry Level-Up @hardtailstar and @SpuffMonkey!
  16. Errr... It appears not. I don't remember! I set G Suite up and the staff have been considerably more enthusiastic about that so I've kinda just stopped supporting 365 to be honest. I've just checked by logging in as a test user and it still exhibits the same behaviour, https://schoolname.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/sharepoint.aspx.. If you delete the _layouts etc you get the 'proper' page. I think my makeshift solution at the time was just to have a shortcut in the start menu labelled Sharepoint that went to the proper address and told people to use that. Sorry I can't be of much more use.
  17. Are there competing companies? I was under the impression each company had their own section of the UK and there wasn't much overlap or competition?
  18. I wonder what happened to the shoe he was wearing? I heard there was only one sole survivor..
  19. I'd happily have a 'dumb' meter fitted, but I doubt I'd ever be given that choice. Had a 'dumb' meter at the last place, was more than happy to submit meter readings and pay for what I'd used.
  20. I've moved into a house with no water meter, I still have to pay, but what I pay is an approximation of what the average household uses.. So for 2 adults, no children I think that worked out at around £25 a month. A meter might be cheaper, might not be, but I'd rather not switch because companies are still pushing vulnerable 'smart' meters and I'm having none of that. Admittedly I don't know if that applies to the water sector, but this puts me off. United Utilities seem happy to charge me standard water rates and I'm happy to pay them, so everyone's golden.
  21. Can this also include page background colour? We've had a few pupils this year that have been entitled to blue or yellow pages because it's difficult (or at least, more difficult) to read black-on-white. I don't really know the specifics of it, but the exams officer assures me it's a thing, so I'm going to take her word on it lol. IIRC loading an .examtext file that had had its background colour changed didn't load the change in colour. No big deal for me printing them out, probably not even a big deal for the kid writing the script, just one of those "If you're doing similar, what about..." things (Sorry if I'm wrong, though, working from memory and don't have the files in question to hand any more!)
  22. And I! Good a route as any into the industry. Best of luck @pugrick_31!
  23. Very much so, this leak feels too 'flawless' to be a proper leak, I suspect it's been orchestrated rather purposefully.
  24. I don't see that as much of an issue. As long as the core melody stays intact, they can change the accompanying instruments all they like.

    Pokémon: GO

I've given it a look-in again recently. My biggest issue with local groups is they very often have younger kids in and A) I wanna stay away because employment and B) I just don't like kids
