Bit of a necrobump, this problem was over a year ago! For anyone that finds this thread in future: Turns out this was the issue. Forcing that off via GPO solved the problem. I expect that the largest portion of Nintendo's time given to Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee, but I'm interested on this supposed upcoming Yoshi game. I'm hoping we'll get a bit of info dropped about the 'RPG-like core game' set for 2019. Probably not much, but a few basic details would be nice. For Bethesda I think their main attraction will be Fallout 76, I'm hoping they give us a lot of information about how that'll work as to the game mechanics. I also assume they'll give a decent chunk of their time to RAGE 2. And that's about all I care about I'd be interested in Anthem, were it not an EA game, and I don't own any current-gen consoles (still got a Wii and a 360 tho )

Depends. If it's multiplayer co-op, probably the same way it worked in FO4, just enters a slowed-down 'bullet-time' for all players. If it's PvP, probably a +Accuracy self-buff for about 3-4s.

Therefore their need cannot outweigh the privacy of the other individuals, because their need does not exist. A parent may want to see the footage. In many cases the School will have reasonable reasons to want to share the footage with the parents. But even in this case, the parents only 'need' the information about their own child. They do not need information about the child that (in our hypothetical scenario) [was assaulting/being assaulted by their child]. They do not need information about background pupils who just happened to be in the general vicinity at the time. Unobscured footage counts as sharing information (about the subjects that have not been obscured) and there is no legitimate need for the parent to have that information.

The definitive answer is yes. The more nuanced answer is "You're not allowed to show parents footage of other kids. You must take some kind of steps to obscure them from footage." Not necessarily blurring them, you could paste the awesome face over everybody, paint solid colour over everything that ain't their kid, etc. There basics of it is that the parent should be able to interpret the surrounding circumstances but not be able to identify other persons involved. Once somebody is identifiable, then you're risking the breach. Again, my personal advice would be a series of still screenshots. You need only manipulate maybe 7-10 images, and you can still portray the event with reasonable coherency.

Yes. You need their permission. You do not get to decide on this. The decision has already been made. The parent of Child B does not need to see the footage of Child A and their friends assaulting their child. They might (some would say, justifiably) want to. But they do not need to. You show the footage to your safeguarding lead, and your safeguarding lead tells Child B's parents that Child B has been attacked and they have identified the people responsible. Child B's parent, if they wish, goes to the police (though in this instance the school should be doing that anyway). The police ask for the footage. Then* you can hand it over without written consent, because it's a legal matter, but only to the police, and of course your standard chain of custody and data protection applies. Encrypt it and get it signed for. * Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this point

This is likely your best way to go. It sucks, but it'll be considerably quicker than frame-by-frame editing of a clip. Take a few 'core' frames (running-left-step, running-right-step, running-left-step, punching, laughing) and blur out the other subjects.

A Kanto remake would definitely push me towards buying a Switch. I've been um-ing and ah-ing about it for a while but with everything that's going on I just can't be dropping money on one atm. But if it's tied into Pokemon GO, I'm out. I got bored of Pokemon GO within 2 weeks. No interest in buying a game that's going to potentially gate content behind another game. I guess it all depends on the level of 'integration'. We'll see.

An issue has just been raised about EWP with regard to the paper they're currently sitting (and I'm sorry if this has been asked/answered before!) What about questions that just say 'tick here' or whatever, those that ask the student to mark an answer rather than write one? For now I've just advised them to write it out, giving an obvious indication that's the option they want, eg: 4a) Option C: The solution will become more acidic. Not a problem with the software in of itself, I'm just wondering if there's perhaps a better way?
