  2. Google forms it is. We were hoping to delay giving pupils access to their google accounts until the ICT Coordinator comes back after Easter but the bullet has been bitten.
  3. I was exhibiting at a big show in Earl's Court and they played the Benny Hill theme when it finished and we started dismantling. It really did speed us up.
  4. Returning to the OP, it's a well know fact that NMs can do any job standing on their head.
  5. I did think of surveymonkey but I believe each pupil would have to sign up for it and I'm worried about inappropriate material going online.
  6. Is anyone aware of an in-house survey creator that can be used by pupils during their ICT module. We have access to Challenge Machine but it is a bit painful to use.
  7. We've had it done on every house we have lived in, including a 30s semi. Never had a damp problem and it significantly improves insulation and noise. I believe there were some issues in the early days that were linked to brick ties.
  8. I wish I'd thought of that after 8 years, I wouldn't have reach 40 years of married life. More like 8.

  12. I've just seen a bulletin from County saying that Looked after Children now have a virtual headteacher! I understand the concept in this case but it makes you wonder how much could be saved if all HTs were replaced in this way?
  13. and if she was forced to do it, there would be a few Challenger 2 tanks backing her up. Given the option of supporting the Monarch or the Government, I can hazard a guess which side the Armed Forces would be on.

  16. France is nearly 3 times as big as the UK, has winter sports, a Mediterranean coastline and is part of mainland Europe. Realistically, you'd expect a higher percentage.
  17. Someone I know had a call and he strung them along for a bit and then shouted "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE? THERE'S SMOKE COMING OUT OF MY COMPUTER - EVERYONE! GET OUT THE HOUSE IS ON FIRE - GET OFF THE PHONE YOU BARSTEWARD I NEED TO PHONE THE EMERGENCY SERVICES". He's not been troubled since.
  18. After the bad fires in Australia a few years ago, the people who treated the injured animals couldn't work out why koalas seemed to survive injuries that would almost certainly result in death to others. They concluded that the koala is to stupid to be traumatised. I know a few people like that!
  19. Not something I have come across. How long is your external cable and what laptop is it?
  20. I just had a member of staff thrust a new camera at me and tell me her partner had looked at it and the battery won't hold its charge. He's tried everything. I turned the camera on, it asked to format the SD card, I clicked yes and it shutdown. I put the SD card in my computer, tried to format and it was write protected. Flicked the switch put the card in the camera and set the camera up. There was no indication on the camera that write protect was set and I only sorted it as quickly as I did because I stuck the card in my computer. I can see that catching a few people out!
  21. I upgraded some of ours to v11 and they are begging me to go back to 9.7!

  24. I passed my genetic engineering exam with flying koalas
  25. The only problem with putting the link on the website is anyone seeing it can take part, unless you have a protected parent area. At present, we email the link using Parentmail but when we let the pupils access their gmail accounts, we will be able to stipulate that only school accounts can view it. The results are shown in a Google spreadsheet which can be downloaded into Excel.
