[ipad] Custom Cases - how do you do it?
laserblazer replied to sister_annex's topic in Mobile Devices & Tablets
@elsiegee40 what cases did you go for? -
We use Google forms. I've not tried importing data into SIMS but as it is effectively a spreadsheet, I guess it wouldn't be a problem.
-
Sorry if this has already been asked but have you tried a different power supply?
-
I had something similar this morning. The battery indicator was on but no drive activity and a blank screen. Shutting down with a long press on the on off button cured it. It has to be worth a try at least?
-
Try holding down the power button and you may hear the drive power down. Give it a couple of seconds and then try powering up.

Start with "Ideally I should teach you how to fall first but as we only have 10 minutes, this is Ippon Seoi Nage".

[pics] Really? What About The Grey Ones?
laserblazer replied to 6Foot2's topic in Jokes/Interweb Things
You'd have to go some to run down a grey squirrel. Believe me, I've tried. It jumped onto the bonnet, pulled of a wiper arm and used it to pole vault onto an overhanging branch. -
I was always told that eating hot bread was not good for the tummy.

It takes around three hours in the one we have, which we've had for some years. It makes a lovely smell in the kitchen.

The 1921 census is not due until 2022, but if we can get 100,000 signatures the government will consider early release. The 1931 census results were destroyed in a fire and there was no census in 1941, so this is the last for a long time. The link is https://submissions.epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/49199

Parents to confront School governors over iPads

Sounds like a lot more work for hard-pressed IT Departments. -
I heard somewhere that you need to take a bit of care selling school equipment because VAT was not put on the original sale. That said, I doubt there would be a problem with small quantities.

Give them all a length of dowelling that will reach the on/off switch. -
Switchable universal projector remote control
laserblazer replied to DarrenShan's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
The problem I see is that projectors have different functions to televisions etc. so surely all the buttons will be wrong? Assuming you can set it up so that button A is freeze and B is mute, the staff will have to remember which is which. As they probably can't remember their username and password, a hopeless cause. I agree with the"chain the remote to the wall" approach. -

This Guy Wants The Internet To Name His Daughter...
laserblazer replied to 6Foot2's topic in General Chat
We currently have two with Mega as a first name. In the last 15 years, there have been eleven. Scary thought, the plethora of girls named Kylie in the late 80s will now be naming babies of their own! -

You could almost believe he picked his time to go so that it didn't disrupt Jensen's racing. He came across as that sort of dad. Great shame.
-
Fascinating. It doesn't look as different as you would expect but it mainly around the river, where you would expect less change.

Wer they connecting by wireless or wired? I had a similar problem and it was a switch issue. Rebooted the switch and it was fine. -
