Only because we are currently using a BGFL line, we use their SMTP relays (as it is the only way of getting mail in or out to on site clients (to my understanding)).

Firefily is expensive though. I tried (and failed) to get funding for it last year and the year before that . Looks like I will have to find something less expensive, possibly invest into 3rd party tools for Moodle.

Have you looked to see if there is a GPO applying at the server level that is taking priority? Edit: It would be worth running resultant set of policy to see if anything unexpected is applying.

I'm only educated to A-Level but as others have said experience counts for a whole lot in this line of work. I have worked in education ICT for 10 years now and can say, once you get to Network Manager positions it is more about: personnel management, ability to handle budgets, good organisational skills & so forth. You aren't expected to know everything but would be expected to know how to find out / learn.

All that does is give to option of choosing x86 or x64. That's all that there is, its just empty space below. All I can think of is that IE9 is the latest (Microsoft) browser in Vista and I'm just wondering if that is part of the problem, although the page loads the same in Chrome. I will give Firefox a go now.

Create a new user type (I would clone staff) and under General> Specify where personal data should be stored; change any relevant directories to a shared location. Possibly a new folder in T: with restricted access for just the intended users.

I have had two students come to me in the last week saying that when they log into O365 and try to download Office through student advantage they get an error. I have checked the licensing on both accounts and all is normal. However there is one consistency, they are both trying to install on Vista computers. When we subscribed to Student Advantage (almost a year ago) the software install page gave XP and Vista users a link to download Office 2010 as Office 2013 is not compatible with either OS. This does not seem to be the case now as I created a Vista VM and had one of the students log into it for me, I had the exact same problem. It would make some sense to remove the link for XP due to it being EOL but Vista is still in extended support. Does anyone know if MS have changed anything or if there is a work around?

Taken from the HMOL help: Until you begin to configure a device, the main panel shows only one section for Unconfigured Devices. Unconfigured Devices are those devices discovered by HiveManager. These are devices that have formed a CAPWAP connection with HiveManager but have not yet been configured through HiveManager. In other words, a HiveManager admin has not pushed a configuration, HiveOS image, user database, certificate or key files, or captive web portal files from HiveManager to the device. After pushing any of the above items, HiveManager categorizes a device as "configured", creates a Configured Devices section, and moves it there. From this point, the contents in the main panel are divided into two sections. At the top is a list of unconfigured devices, and below that is a list of configured devices. You can collapse and expand the Unconfigured Devices section by clicking [ - ] and [ + ]. The Configured Devices section is always displayed. So try to push the config and see if you get any joy basically.

Here is a basic write-up of what I did. The adm would not import into the RMMC properly for me but I know it makes a mess even when it does: Downloaded msi from above URL and ADM templates from https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/187202?hl=en. MSI was imported directly into the RMMC. Shortcuts can’t be removed from the MSI, Chrome creates shortcuts per user on first run. Chrome checks for the contents of the master_preferences file in C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\ for this condition. Additional package Google Chrome Settings replaces this file to remove shortcuts using “do_not_create_any_shortcuts”:true as outlined in post #32 on the following webpage: Issue 174465 - chromium - Shortcuts can't be disabled in Enterprise MSI - An open-source project to help move the web forward. - Google Project Hosting The adm templates do not import well into the RMMC so it is best to manage it directly in AD. On the FRDC the chrome.adm file was copied to C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\ and the .adml files were copied to their respective sub folders. From the Group Policy Management snap in I expanded; Forest: > Domains> and clicked Establishments. This brought up a list of GPOs in the right hand side. As in the RMMC the template needs to be applied to a group, in the RMMC we see them as Staff, Standard etc. under User Registry policies. In Group Policy Management they are listed as Staff User Type and Standard User Type. As part of the install I had created a Chrome Test User Type to work on the settings. I selected the initial User Type and expanded; User Configuration> Policies> and right clicked Administrative Templates. From here I clicked Add \ Remove templates and added the chrome.adm file from before. Under Administrative templates there was now a Google folder and beneath this was Google Chrome it is here and the sub folders that all policies were changed.

Not sure if I understand exactly what you are after, but on the app you can add sessions to your favourites list by tapping the heart. Once done select favourites from the app menu and tap sessions at the top. It will list all the sessions you have saved in chronological order. On the right side of each session there is a grey clock that will set a reminder (on the app) but you have the option to add the session to your calendar (directly from the app) too. HTH
