  1. Can't believe that as soon as I put this up I figured it out. The incognito mode availability policy needs to be enabled, with incognito mode disabled selected from the subsequent dropdown. Talk about counter intuitive!
  2. I am currently testing Chrome and have hit a bit of a brick wall with restricting access to incognito browsing. I have "incognito mode availability set to disabled" yet my test user can still successfully click new incognito window from the menu. Every other GPO I have set in this policy seems to be applying, just not this one. It's pretty much the last thing I want to restrict for these accounts before going live. Anyone have any ideas?
  3. Looking to get some hands on time with a Surface 3 and a Learnpad. Re-introduce myself to the good folk at Smoothwall and Edugeek (possibly around lunchtime!). Print management and replacement printers.
  4. Don't leave anything in the van overnight.
  5. Would this be covered by warranty? If you can show that this is a consistent fault you may be able to negotiate extended warranty for this issue.
  6. The following may help: Cleaning your SMART UF55 or SMART UF55w projector (146144) - SMART Technologies I have used this method on non UF55 projectors with success.
  7. Useful site for commands and switches: MS-DOS help and commands
  8. So it looks like I will be there on the Wednesday or Thursday (possibly both). Looking forward to Edugeek pizza, saved my life last year after misplacing my wallet!
  9. Do the staff get bounce back messages? If they do it is likely that DNS has not been configured properly.
  10. 2014 2015 So if I were to use my contactless debit card it would cap my charges at £12 for the day even though each journey is £7.50?
  11. Thanks, I think it would be £7.50 each way on 2015 prices so the travel card would work out cheaper. Would I just buy this on arrival at Victoria?
  12. Can anyone help me figure out what I would need to pay on the underground to get from Victoria Coach station to Excel? I have the route from the tfl website but the prices and zones are as clear as mud! Only looks like £10 return on National Express from Birmingham to Victoria! Edit: Would it be a £12 travel card (based on the fare chart here:https://www.tfl.gov.uk/fares-and-payments/fares?intcmp=1648 on row 9, Daytime Anytime)? Victoria is in Zone 1 and Excel is in Zone 3
  13. Ok, in case anyone else is reading this because they find themselves in the same situation; I have found the following: 1. The information that is collected each week by Link is passed directly to the LA, Links only involvement is allowing GroupCall to upload info to the LA. 2. As mentioned previously the LA are working on a solution that is not specifically dependant on Link. This is a legacy issue with the LA and in no way attributed to the way BGFL is setup as a private network. There is no ETA on this update. 3. It is still perfectly possible to submit the weekly information to the LA using S2S but it is a manual process. I am sure I can get the report to generate automatically but as @Banjo says it is not possible to script the upload. If anyone needs contact details for the LA to get up to date information drop me a PM and I will give you the contact information I have.
  14. Thanks guys, I have been speaking to people at the LA and I am 100% confident about the census. I am just waiting to hear back on what the additional uploads are about and what can be done about them.
  15. So this is finally blocked here and I think they are blocking it for all BGFL schools but can't confirm.
  16. Couldn't count to 5 the other day when measuring baby foofighterjim's bottle.
  17. So no matter what the data that is required I can get around the issue using S2S? If it does transpire that it is daily data I can always look at scripting it.
  18. Anyone have any contact info for the data team at the LA? I wouldn't say that, there are plenty of schools out there that simply depend on them. Unfortunately not all primaries are fortunate to have someone like you available to them.
  19. Yup, got it.
  20. So if the MIS support is moved to another party the whole point is moot?
  21. Nothing particularly wrong with the site on the face of it but links to most popular articles also hosted by the domain are not suitable: Bible - Catholic Online (links from this page are NSFW and are very disturbing) Those of you with active filtering may not have an issue but everything is being shown on my BGFL filtering, I have opened a call with Link about it.
  22. @Banjo Thanks for this, we are not an Academy so it looks like we would need to use Secure Access. Is this correct? If so I take it I will need to speak to Link if the move goes ahead to set this up?
  23. I am looking at moving away from Link2ICT and therefore BGFL, however I have one question unanswered to this point. In Birmingham are data transfers (specifically census) dependant on a BGFL line? I know other services are and I have contingencies in place for these. I know there must be a way otherwise all Birmingham schools would have to still be on BGFL but if someone could verify for me that would be a big help. Thanks in advance.
  24. Possibly because my car is only 999cc I don't block change on the way up but with so little engine breaking I do so on the way down (usually 5-3 or 4-2). On the bike however, sequential all the way. The V-Twin means that I only ever touch the breaks when coming to a complete stop.
  25. Hi @tom_newton I am currently reviewing our filtering solution and are looking at Smoothwall. In light of these changes is there any official documentation on this type of setup?
