Thanks for this. Do you trust staff with the secondary VPP accountsot purchase? i have Meraki setup but not had chance to play with it yet so will give that a try. I get the impression the staff will want to buy stuff themselves. I take it they can do this with a voucher on a single machine or would that go to all the machines using that itunes account?

Evening, A quickie question. Apologies if this has been answered hundreds of times but I am going round in circles. I have created and been accepted as a Education account manager. this is admin@ I have created an account inside called LSU_ipads@ I can log in at https://volume.itunes.apple.com using the LSU_ipads account. What account do I set an ipad up with? I have another iTunes account for testing called iTunes@ which won't log onto the above address but I did link it to a iPad I bought. Just trying to get my head round this as I am a late bloomer. I only have 1 ipad now so have no MacBook to administer and will use Meraki for this one. If I bought 4 more ipads would I use the same ITunes@ account on all 5 ipads.. how would I get the VPP apps onto it.

Anyone got a link to the ISO download? For some reason the setup folder isn't updating so I have a incompatible databae error on a server which I use for RDP (and Solus 3 messes it up if I install on it)

Morning, Any chance of posting the application config data to change it to use Kerberos, I can't seem to find i on the documentation and fancy having a crack at it without having to type everything. I noticed too mine had SSL tag on it but on your vid yours doesn't, I take it I need to keep this.

Is there any instructions to achieve this successfully? is it just an overright of the exisiting files and copying the relevant config files back across?

I have setup the school with office365 with the free sharepoint sites. The online sharepoint looks alot slicker than the old version but I really cant see the point of it for schools. I quite like the skydrive feature but it links in with sites so I am not sure we will use this either. Sorry but Google has won this fight.

I just updated to VAMT 3 after struggling with 2 for ages and the cil files. Nice to see it running on a SQL server but why cant they make the GUI more accessible.

I would always remove tiles when laying a new floor, you could lay on top but the edges will show through the vinyl unless you pour levelling compound on. A good base is essential. Our bathroom was put in by some cowboy builders who have put tiles onto the floorboards which means a few have cracked already with the movement of the wood. We will be ripping it up and sticking vinyl down... you get what you pay for with vinyl so paying a bit extra for good cushioned stuff makes sense.... and its waremr than tiles. I did a check pattern in my last houses kitchen, 2 different coloured ceramic tiles. Looked pretty good but you have to get your lines spot on.

Just got back from seeing this at the cinema. I loved the book and knew the only thing they kept was the name but....... I really enjoyed most of it. The first half I was quite excited which is unusual and it was quite tense... a bit like the walking dead without the gratuitous gore and add steroids and your there. Even Pitt was bearable. Actually, I dont think there was any gore at all.....which was a welcome treat. I think it was my fave film of the year so far after the dissapointing Star Trek and IM3. Heartily recommend it.

Hi, I have hit a bit of a wall and wondered if anyone else has doen this. We have laptops in our science departmetn which have single audio input/output sockets. The science department have purchased little mikes to record soundwaves and the time it takes to travel between them. They have a audio splitter and 2 leads coming out of them, they work fine on desktop machines but not on the laptops....they dont register as microphones on the laptops which I think is due to the single input. I did buy a couple of USB audio devices to test but they are just coming back as single channels. Has anyone come across this before? I did find a registry hack to force the socket to be whatever you decide but I would need to change it back after each lesson as they use them for headphone sockets too.

I installed it on my laptop last night so i could have a play and load a few games on. I was watching the midnight garden with my daughter at the same time so Metro fitted in quite well with the baby stuff. Funny thing, I was tired last night and just wanted to shut the thing down... where is the shutdown button? I ended up closing the lid so its probably gone to sleep.

Will give the HL2 mod a lookie. Not sure my little laptop will play it any higher though. Think I will use the schools internet to get the 8Gb file

We use CCTV Software & CCTV Cameras - iCatcher Webcam & CCTV Software with analytics & motion detection with some Axis M1011, 207s and some lovely dome cameras... all internal monitoring doors and a couple of common rooms. I have 2 servers running it... one with 15 cameras on and another with 7. I am a little dissapointed with their i-domain feature as I wasnted it to be able to view all the cameras on one console but its not a biggy. Very easy to install and run. Depends on what you can afford I suppose. PS. One of the good things about the icatcher console is it only records movement and highlights where the movement is so its not recording dead space.. you get a funky little spectro type map telling you when the movement happens. Bit funny when you see deadhead local on a night sitting outside one of the doors only slightly moving for hours on end.

We had some of these but it ended up being the controller on the copier that was faulty. I really hated the fiery stuff.

After installing a new MB and CPU at work I wanted to test its power so decided to buy an old favourite off the internet (HL2). Its been may years since I played it and I loved the whole immersion into the weird universe so was looking forward to having a play. I couldn't get steam to talk through my FW so gave up so took it home and tried it on my i3 laptop. Hooking it up with the HDMI cable to a 50" tv was so much fun... sitting on the floor wasn't cos after an hour I was stiff as a board. It plays really smoothly which is amazing really after the beast I used to have to play it on. I even installed Windows 8 to play it on... a nice clean install just for the game. Think I might revisit Far Cry next, i used to love FPS and became addicted to finishing them but then a little think called a family got in the way. Cant see me playing Crysis on full power but the older shooters on ebay are a steal.

I have netgear in my school and its ok. Its a basic system running WNDAP350 and WNDAP360s (which are a lot better). I got the deal where you get the controller and 2 WNDAP350's for about £500. We don't really use it in anger though, none of its mission critical and I wont be getting it again. Was it a mistake? I was on a very tight budget and they are cheap. The Netgear forum is full of complaints but aren't most of them???? PS. I bought netgear as we have netgear switches.....and they are cheap but you get what you pay for.

Woohoo, got it syncing with just the staff OU now, it deleted all the pupils accounts that got created in the first sync and put them in the deleted users bit so be careful. Might have a play with some attributes filtering now. PS. The Azure sync is different from the article, the OU's are selected int he container tab at the bottom, after you connect to the AD with your credentials a window opens allowing you to select which OU you want to sync.

ah sorry, the paths are wrong in the article and the management agents names dont tally. Will this delete the users online that have already been synced with a full sync if I target a OU?

Does MS support an official way to scope OUs? The stuff on Bing is not for Azure and is a bit confusing. The management agents are named differently and I can't work out how to scope individual OU's.

Damn... thought you said you were down with Windows 8 in the title. Not sure what benfits you get from W8 except a baby start screen. FA to do with learning a new OS, more to do with time management.

TASC Insight does it too, I was quite impressed when they did a demo.
