Agree totally, I get a nose bleed travelling to far south. When I went I walked about for 3 hours getting zapped then went to cinema.

Just had an email from tech support. AD integration is faulty, fingerprint recognition isn't ready yet and acquisitions hasn't been written so we can't have it. I think it may be time to look at alternative software because this is a bit silly.

Hi, Not sure if this is a HAP issue more of an iPad one but someone may know something to help. I have a RapidSSL certificate assigned to my server which plays well but when I browse to it via an iPad it comes up with This website requires a certificate When I click continue it asks me to so select a certificate and lists 2 with identical numbers. No amount of clicking helps. I have tried to install a Root CA but it doesn't help. There's lots of stuff online that's similar but nothing helps, talks about deleting a keychain but have no idea as I am a newbie at iPads. Anyone got an idea?

I have it running on Server 2008. Its not hammered but it works fine inside and outside school. Think the only thing I had to change was the connect.ini to point to the UNC of the server and not use the redirect command. Oh and Solus 3 always messed mine up so I have to manually update each time which is fine if the ISO is available when Solus 3 deploys... if not then its a database error. I reboot each weekend to remove the profiles too as they clog the server up.

Wonder how many techies are at that school? I hope its not just 1 guy from RM expected to fix them on a Monday morning

M$ don't have shiny shiny shops full of clones to offer training. I do think Apple have stolen a march on this, their Genius bar (hate that name) is excellent. yes M$ do training but its not as accessible. I only speak from experience as we have a shiny shiny shop in Leeds now although you can never get in with all the sheep.

I suppose the argument for them is doing away with text books, paper books pens paper etc... if they are doing it full steam ahead then I imagine its paperless. We save £80 buying 1 book for 20 Ipads on the Zindle apps for the Ipads... multiply that and you can see the financial benefit.... and they play angry birds

I just received an email from them saying how wonderful it would be to see me at BETT this year where they will showcase their new software versions. This is very funny as its been 12 months since an update and a month since they said the new version would be rolled out. If anyone passes their stand next week can they give them a slap and ask them to answer their emails.... a truly terrible company.

Morning, We have a couple of students that need a text reader so I have tried to install naturalreader free for them but its not working. I tried extracting the MSI and deploying but it didn't isntall right so I manually installed it. It works fine for a admin but a normal user (even a power user) makes it crash when you click it. Anyone got a workaround before I delve into the registry? I have changed the permissions on the program folder to no avail. Can't remember that software that checks what files have been altered when you install either which would help.

I drive 20 miles on the managed M62 every day. When they were building it (2 years of roadworks) it was limited to 50mph av speed and I was getting 65 to the gallon.. now its managed and usually set at 60/50 its dropped to 55ish. Prob my bad driving and the increase/decrease speed between cameras but if everyone did the same thing that's a fair bit of extra pollution going into the air.

From my point of view as a NM I take it as part of my job to do this. I get paid well for what I do so the extra hours is part and parcel... I also like being indispensable.

Plugged all computers in I could get to and allowed the Sims update to propagate.. which it seems to have quite nicely. Trying to stop eating all the left over chocs.

I have a secondary because of the original issue which no one has suggested a fix, I know you can do it all with a single DHCP but what's the point is the issue is with M$ and the devices. I didn't say it was perfect but it works a treat.

I am having some issues with office and the new Office 365 link which I wonder if anyone else has experienced. I have been merrily working for years with a standard user account which opens up a different exchange account through outlook (the school admin account) Now I upgraded to Office 2013 yesterday and started playing with office 365 and the links. it worked fine and the skydrive pro was syncing too.. loads of updates appeared so I did all these and rebooted. now its all messed up. When I try and sync skydrive it gives me an error instantly. When I go to connected services and try and connect to sharepoint it instantly gives me an error (sorry we are having some temporary issues). If I try and switch user in word 2013 it does the same error. Now I wonder if its all gone **** up because the account that Word 2013 is using is simon@etc... and the skydrive account is admin@.... The annoying thing I can't change the account. I was really hoping this skydrive thing would be good but the lack of mapped drives support and this issue which has cost me a few hours looks like I might just stick with google.

Okay thanks for the help, just going through and adding the attribute so it doesn't sync everyone. Don't mean to be overly negative and pro google.. I don't particularly like there stuff either it just some of there features are really good.. and I despair at having to use Powershell scripts to accomplish simple tasks, I have enough swimming in my head without having to remember strings of code.

Well after a meeting we think we are going to go down the trainee line and take a punt. All I need to do now is start documenting everything and not keep it in my head.
