I am slowly moving to Ubiquiti. I hate the fact it defaults to install into your profile and you need to move it somewhere else. I've got byod access setup on my Ruckus gear, havent tackled that with the Ubiquiti stuff yet. Such a wate all the shiny ruckus gear I bought especially the 2 controllers which would easily pay for new UB stuff on their own.

My 6 year old might like that one, looks fun.

PDQ Deploy, the free version lets you schedule batch files... I love it.

So your answer files you create sort out the partitioning of the drives too? I've never sorted them but really need to do them with the new LTSC and the security questions. I'm waiting for server 2019 so I can upgrade my WDS.

I agree, I know its a bit quicker rolling out a complete image but we just use a basic ISO and PDQ deploy all the software needed and the latest CU. I used to use clonezilla server with Windows 7 and sysprep which I really liked (and preferred) but havent got time to update the base image regularly.

No I mean joining the domain and getting the computer name, I rolled out LTSB and it did all this for me without an unattend

I rolled a few out the other day, completely ignores my WDS settings and I have to rename the machine.. join the domain etc.... Probably need Server 2019 WDS which i hope woint be too long before its back out and about.

I've got Office 2019 installing via PDQ deploy now... and they have a Offie 2016 uninstaller which works too. Not as slick as SCCM but easy enough to roll out. I use redirected start menus so I use IF / ELSE commands to copy the relevant start menu items. Really ugly fix but works for now.

We all used to wait for SP1 or SP2 befroe rolling stuf out... might be best to stay a version behind with W10 too

Sorted my issue, it hadn't downloaded the whole source to the share. I've managed to deploy it from a local drive but my share install fails.... I think I will be deploying with PDQ Deploy by the looks.

I've tried to do it on a local drive now, its hung at 28% for an hour... and I cant close the stupid thing... I killed the office clic to run processes but its still going.

Hi, Just a quickie, we currentyl use GAPS to sync windows credentials to Google but I fancy moving to Azure logon. We have MFA setup for both and M$ has the nice bypass MFA for local domain in Azure so Outlook signs straight in, if I use Azure for Google would that bypass MFA too or would it argue with the Google 2FA thats enabled? Its a half term job which I am looing at tackiling. Thanks

Stupid security questions to install it... best sort an answer file out. And running windows update prompts to install feature update to 1809.. which if its anything like the other updates will take hours. (IGNORE THAT, it failed then never came up again)

Agree 100% and was doing the same thing with the points he rasied. I’ve spoken to customers who held a misconception that the SAC version of Windows 10 prevented the permanent removal of certain standard applications that are pre-installed with Windows 10 (like the Xbox app etc.) ---- Did those same customers mention that have XBOX on a work machine is stupid!!!

I binged on The last man on Earth over the past few weeks, stupidly funny... especially the cameo. The Last Ship started the other night too, stupidly patriotic and silly but I like it.

ESET here through Softbox (Information Security | SBL). Agree about the auto update client optio is needed. I went from 6 to 7 recently and had to manually do some machines... oh and some of the clients are 'stuck' on 7 and i can only update them using safe mode. Other than that... perfick.

I started watching Purge, its really scraping the barrel. There alot of rubbish on Amazon.. Cloak and dagger is another tosh one.

I have mandatory profiles for kids and roaming for staff, logon times have never been great. Do you guys who use local profiles have mandatory ones or just local which get deleted after each reboot? I played with UEV and got Outlook working but never got much else to play nice.

LTSB here for around 300, me and my tech have W10 Enterprise and I'm resetting my apops every morning... sometimes lose my Edge faves. Agree though.. I miss Windows 7

Old thread I know but.... I thought I would have a punt as Santok were selling off the Wileyfox stuff... and you can still buy them even though it went bust. Never been so frustrated contacting customer support, Santok phones wont answer anything related to Wileyfox.... the webchat is run by robots... I was asked to send my phone on and have revieved no communication at all in 3 weeks. Serves me right!!
