It really is - I'm going to be doing this in about 18 months as we move to a single network across 2 sites. We currently run a Ruckus N network and once we have paid for the upgraded controller licence and new APs we are far in excess of what it will cost to install an AP-AC-Edu in almost every room. 2 Questions - How loud actually are they? Has anyone found a way of integrating them with an existing class change system?

I'm seeing this too with our external certificate. It's a GoDaddy wildcard. I'm hoping when I complete the CSR for a new cert on wednesday it will correct itself. If not, I'll be back!

Bear in mind that 'homegroup' as you know it is going away in windows 10. Acer W700 tablet, Windows 10 1703 (although it behaves exactly the same in 1709) Graphics has a hissy fit when coming out of any kind of sleep on the power button. Core i3 integrated HD3000 graphics. Tried all available version of driver for 7/8/10. Tried all available chipset drivers, tried a bios update, tried all available MEI drivers. I'm out of ideas.

Lucid Rapid and Lucid Recall is what we use. It seems to be well repsected in the EdPsych community.

I think it's a screen overlay rather than something applied to the image itself. I've got a few incredibly slow Atom based tablets and if you lock them, the image appears full bright for about half a second and then the shade appears to drop down from the top.

We customise our lock screen with both a background and a user account picture. Windows 10 seems to put a shade over the logon screen as it appears which means that everything is a funny dull colour. does anyone know if a setting exists to make the image appear in all it's full vibrancy?

This may be of interest still... There seems to be an issue with image size of backdrop. When you get a background image over about 3.5mb in size the group policy results become inconsistent. I reduced the DPI from 96 to 72 at 1920x180 which dropped the file size from 4 to 3.1mb and the results became consistent - a test group of 35 machines, every one showed the backdrop. Returning to 4mb image and the results became inconsistent on first reboot with only 2 machines out of the test group of 35 displaying.

I have 2 weeks blocked out with Trust IT to do an O365 migration. It's dependent on Trust workload exactly which 2 weeks, and I won't know until closer to the time! I'm going to provisionally say I'm in, but I might be out! At the moment I can do any Monday/Wednesday/Thursday in August.

I was advised not to allow students to access RDP as this creates a world of licensing pain for the above reasons... If you students to access services remotely you need a robust VLE not RDP.

I've not seen them mentioned here yet, but ocasionally when Dave doesn't have what I'm after, or if I need a competing quote to keep Dave honest I use Tier One. We have had more issues with Tier 1 - like if I buy monitors from them they repeatedly forget to include display port adapters that we ask for, and the machines are often in not quite the described cosmetic condition, and their multi year warranties are much steeper than ICT Direct.

Most reputable manufacturers quote at a maximum of 1% THD, My Naim stuff is quoted at 0.1%! What do you need the soundabr to take? Just a line input? Does it need blutooth or anything like that? Yup - get the right wim. If you don't get the wim with en-gb in it, you are onto a loser - You can specify the unattend until you are blue in the face , it won't work. If you don't have access to the English - International wim for some obscure reason, you have to download the language pack and dism it into the wim you have got.
