Same here. I can only assume it's some sort of internet access issue because I can't see any calls out for a CRL from the server in question. I've yet to try wiresahrk or similar to see if it's actually trying to acquire the CRL. If I just type the CRL URL into IE it downloads successfully.

Lease the hell out of that. You DO NOT want the bill when someone get a sheet of labels/acetate stuck and you need a whole transfer tractor assembly.

Perhaps not entirely accurate but our MAT have taken the view that for both simplicity and for maximum CYOB that we just keep everything for the longest period of time. It may just be our environment, but the amount of data that *doesn't* have to be kept for 25 years pales into insignificance compared with that which *does*, such that to try and split out other retention periods becomes a significant administrative burden.

There is a statutory 25 year retention period for pupil data regardless of format. We're in the process of looking at how we manage this as we've changed DfE numbers and we have an MIS filled with old data and an MIS with current data and we're exploring what the most effective way of hanging onto that historic data is. You can delete their work whenever you like!

Yes, it is possible for settings to be saved with documents... Pretty sure there's an option for it somewhere. We have the Task Alfa at one of the sites and it does act weird. there are some combinations of settings you expect it to be able to and it can't - like a top corner staple and a tri-fold, can't do it.

We seem to frequently get updates that take 30 minutes to process in the morning, usually the monthly updates for windows 10... Maybe our machines are just slow! I missed machines off because I'm a pratt and added them to the shutdown TXT but not the start up XML. We set machines to check at lunchtime on a Wednesday, install on a Wednesday night - the power schedule leaves them on until 7pm on a Wednesday to accommodate the install scheduled at 5.30. They don't automatically reboot ever because we've had this go rogue on a number of occasions. They turn off on the schedule and do the first part of the config, then turn on as mentioned at 6.30 and do the second part of the config if required and they're sat ready to go around 7am. The machines don't turn on over the weekends as the scheduled task doesn't run, and we suspend the wake up scheduled task during the holidays - machines that are turned on still shut down. We've had feedback from our energy efficiency assessment that they are more than happy with this.

That's brave... "Hey, @ITGURU Why has my machine been sat at 'configuring windows updates 55%' for the last 35 minutes? I could really use being able to read my emails/teach" Mine turn on at 6.30am - about 30 minutes before the first person arrives in the office at 7am because I don't want to field a barrage of of 'my computer is configuring'. I missed a batch of machines off the start up XML file and it was carange after 'WSUS Wednesday' patch installs!

IMG is rarely an upgrade to anything... You will need a mixer. I would be looking at Sennheiser or Trantec. UHF is an outgoing technology.

I'd just like to add a +1 for iZettle. I've set it up for a couple of people (A dog groomer and a Forever Aloe consultant) and I have a few other friends (they're Etsy types who do craft fairs) who came to it on their own and everyone who uses it seems to really rate it.
