It just doesn't feel feature rich compared to Sysaid or Royal Blue... It does however do *exactly* what you're asking for though. The MAT has facilities and IT for 16 separate schools on it. For example - head of IT for the trust sees all IT queues, Head of facilities for the trust sees all Facilities queues. My Manager who is the Exec head, can see tickets for both Facilities and IT and the reporting module, I see IT, the site manager sees Facilities. We can transfer tickets to other 'topics' - in this case departments, so if someone assigns to the wrong topic we can reassign. I believe it also has a KB that can be enabled to provide a user searchable repository for self help.

MAT is using OSTicket. It's a bit basic, but it does what you are asking for

I haven't had to generate that - that's from the technet article on deploying office. Really only the first 2 lines are necessary. My SCCM task is way simpler!

Bear in mind however that once the TS been made available to a collection on either of the 'clients' settings, the machine needs to be in a collection that doesn't have the TS available to clients once it's rebuilt or it will continue to nag users about new software being available. And do you specify anything in local users and groups? If you are in a domain environment it's a pretty rare occurrence to need anything much in local users and groups?

Despite there being no indications of stress on the DA server, it would appear that forcing all browsing traffic through the DA server causes it to all slow to a crawl if more than 2/3 users are connected. I've changed policy to not force browsing through DA and it seems to alleviated the issue. Also, the users laptops are definitely location aware OK.

Because people were able to set it up on their home machines thus exposing our network to whatever crapware/exploits might be on their machines. We disable all redirection of local resources by policy for RDP which seems to make the MAT happy too.

I've received no guidance from our MAT that RDP is not acceptable with GDPR. They've recently done audits with us and the question was asked and RDP seemed acceptable. You can easily make it such it that it would be one login for gateway and one log in for RDP server if that is better? What wasn't acceptable to them was the legacy VPN that a few people use at our other site, so we've decommissioned it.

Does the head unit remain on, but just cut the sound out? That sounds like a head unit protecting itself - you need to check the maths of the speakers you've got connected. What rating are the speakers (4, 6, 8 etc) how many speakers do you have connected, are they connected together, are they connected in series or parallel? What does the manual for the head unit say it's minimum load is is (2, 4, 6 8, 16 ohms per channel etc)

They *threw in for free* when we mentioned that it would help SLT get behind it, a printer for the exec head and head - we just pay per sheet on it, there is no lease fee for the machine.

Generally speaking RDS. Although I have about 30 users across 2 sites who still have school laptops - those are now DirectAccess. I've had performance issues with DA recently but at the start of last week I made a config change to not force all browsing through the DA server and not had any further complaints over the 4 day weekend.
