We get the permission renewed every year anyway. Situations change, AUP changes, our eSafety coordinator insists on collecting a permission to access the internet every year, years 5 and 6 get sandboxed email addresses so the permission is different almost every year anyway so we'll just be taking marketing, medical, photo video and uses, etc onto that.

We're issuing a form in the next week or so to collect all permissions for the remainder of this year and it'll be a form as part of the new starter pack from September. We're recording in Integris and we haven't signed up for the app, so it'll be manual processing for the office staff.

I've spoken to our site manager who is actually responsible for our CCTV. Apparently we run 90 days because we used to run 30 and an incident occurred well before the summer holidays which was considered trivial at the time and not viewed, medical complications arose, the the child in question changed their story and suddenly social workers, the hospital and the council's H&S department were involved and we had no CCTV to back up what actually happened. 90 days was what was chosen at the time to see us well clear of the holidays. 60 days would proabably do, but 90 was what was chosen.

They have been a brand, but they've now essentially ceased to exist in their own right.

I use Vidahost for loads of different domains, work, personal, external customers and they've been brilliant. They've just been taken over by tsohost so I have yet to see what their customer service is like.

We've had no specific guidance, but all 3 of our systems store for 90 days unless there is a specific incident. In the case of an incident the relevant footage is backed up (to DVD in the case of one system) and kept until we are satisfied the incident is dealt with, which we *have* received guidance is 'reasonable'.

Long term supply/mat cover get access because they are responsible for registering a class. Single day/Cover supply do not because classes are tied heavilly to logins and to create a new login and assign a class to it each time we have a supply is considered too much work. We have discussed having a supply login for each class but this has been vetoed again as being an unacceptable administrative overhead as the password would need to be changed after each different supply/cover has used it. It's worth noting that I don't assign MIS access, it's done through the office manager.

We currently allow USB drives. Autoplay is off, Windows Defender is set to scan on insertion and SRP/Applocker prohibits running from removable devices. We do however loudly discourage their use as RDP and VPN are available. Staff handbooks labour the point about encrypting anything. We frequently have to send things around and staff are just starting to get the hang of one drive. We make use of 7zip but it usually lands in my lap to do it.

You know you work in an area with a high traveller count when year 4 and 6 are suspiciously quiet around the Kenilworth Horse Fair and half of year 6 are still not back at the start of term after the Great Dorset Steam fair. You know you work in a rough area when you have an actual procession of social workers and police ariving on a monday morning for shenanigans that went on over the weekend. I could go on.

Phone wait times have gone up recently, I assume Tucasi are either V Busy, or have downsized support. I was a pretty early adopter and I was seriously glad to be rid of the local instance. It's all been smooth for us once we got online users sorted out, but that was only one phone call. I can only suggest everyone who is having issues continues to make a nuisance of themselves until it's sorted!

One site, I'm simply not giving them the choice, they all have desktops to teach with - they bring it back and get a few days off from working at home. The other site, because they teach with the laptops I'm doing them a couple at a time with spare desktops - not great ones, but OK - put in their room. Mail is delivered to phones, and they can use the RDS from a personal device if they desperately need to at home. It's part of my performance management that we go completely w10 by the summer and I'm playing hardball.

Our Canon contract only says 'malicious damage' - so we've had to pay for an MP tray that a child jumped on in a fit of anger and a glass platten that got smashed by someone putting an item in and slamming the lid shut. They've repaired under contract the office copier approaching 10 times now for stuck/melted media of various types. They've even covered accidental damage - someone balanced a mug of coffee on the sheet feeder of the Staffroom and it spilt and they had to replace the whole feeder.

Block upgrades to them via WSUS when they're in their normal groups. Bring them in in batches and move them to a WSUS group that has a specific allow for the upgrade. Leave them plugged in and on for a couple of days, keep an eye on them and make sure it applies, give them back to users!

Delprof2 as a scheduled task with the scheduled task applied by GPO and set to run as system is working perfectly for us.

Hyper V whatever. It's not as nice as VMWare on a day to day basis, you have to shut servers down to perform certain reconfig functions, but if you buy in 2 copies of data centre you can run as much of whatever you like saving a metric ton on windows licensing. Personally I'd always go 2 server (minimum) dual ethernet fabric and a dual controller san.

That's just suggestions. Whilst it's convenient it is not offering you suggestions based on the organisation's published address book, it's just offering you suggestions based on people you've interacted with. Your user needs to largely ignore it and use the check names button or address book to select addresses.

Run the remote connectivity analyser. If you do not have FULL autodiscover working for your tenant it will not work.
