RM SafetyNet - experiences please
Boredguy replied to sparkeh's topic in Internet Related/Filtering/Firewall
Transparent filter is available to all clients with the filtering options that you have set as "standard" for all users, and as you say you can not see usage by user. You can still set specific proxy server addresses for your clients and this is recommended especially if you offer staff the ability to bypass the majority of the filter rules if you do not get the User Based filter option. -

It was not when we put our renewal order in for the ISP connectivity back in Feb as it was only just going into trial. I would assume the price is built into the total product now. -

We've been using Safetynet for the past 15 years, and it does what it says on the tin. It filters. I've not yet got the AD Sync, since we didn't want to pay extra for it and did not want to have to reset all the users passwords (which is moot now that we have to have all users passwords changed every 45-90 days) The reporting feature is basic but functional. I can certainly get a list of any sites accessed by Staff (as long as they logged into the bypass page so it puts the name next to the sites) -
Wolff has stated at the weekend that he did not want to approach someone who was already contracted to drive for a team next year, but never say never in F1 land
-
Jenson is a possibility but depends on Honda/McLaren DiResta is also a possibilty for a 1 yr number 2 driver as it does not affect any existing team lineups
-
Possibility could be Bottas (managed by Wolff) from Williams to Merc, with Werhlein to Williams for discounted Engines... but unlikely
-
Wehrlein is a possibility since they have not yet secured a seat for him next season, but they were looking at either keeping him in Manor for another year, or Sauber. Will certainly be a interesting few weeks until they announce someone, but the F1 Memes are already in full swing

Sanyo PLC XE-40 Projector Problems!!!!!!
Boredguy replied to chewee's topic in AV and Multimedia Related
I always deep clean our XE-40's when I start to see the discolouration on the screen (especially purple) and I take it right down so I can get to the prisms and mirrors inside (but not to the point of disassembling the square right at the heart) A good blast with the air compressor on all the componets and they go back to nice and clear projection -

I really love coming to work -
There is nothing wrong with the ploughing... just depends on which plough you use... not that I've got over 100 hours in FS17 or anything *whistle*

I thought yesterday was one of the more interesting and engaging races of the year. Yes Lewis was trying to back him up, but only after they had done their last stop, and only because it was his best way to win the championship. Nico did well to resist the temptation to let Seb have an easy pass and his consistancy throughout the year won him the title. Hopefully Toto will let it go as it was much better than having a 30+ second gap and roll on winter testing.

Some people have complained about the Science Museum airfield being called the Ebola drome since thats the shape the track happened to make... wow someone calling something after something it looks like.
-
We normally send the order to the supplier the month before, but that is due to our renewal falling at the end of July *after* the finance staff have gone on their summer break. Don't normally have any issues.
-
Oh personally I'd say we wouldn't need a touch screen, however I asked for confirmation before I started going out looking and they want what ever we put in there to be interactive, so thats either a normal IWB or a panel really (yes I could just use an interactive projector but would still need something for it to project on to)
-
I always have to install it before our staff can do the census.
-
We've a nice 27 meter by 10 meter room that we've been asked to put some AV kit into. In the past, normally we would just put up a Promethean IWB with a XE-40 projector but things have changed. Our main requirement is to ensure the image can be seen in daylight as there is no plans on installing any blinds on the 4 double windows. What would you suggest? A nice 65/70 inch screen, or a traditional IWB with very bright UST projector. Oh the room will be used for table tennis so trying to ensure if we go down a projector route that it is as close to the wall as possible to save "knock" damage.

For a first show I quite enjoyed it. Production values were much higher since they had to film it all in 4K, but the tent section just didn't quite flow and as it wasn't the first to be filmed it will be interesting to see how the others go. It was nice to see the new "test track" up at the local airfield, and was quite shocked the Science Museum let them use it, but heres to the next episode

With tree style I have a hard job keeping up with which branch I've read, and you often get people replying in another branch to something and it gets all confusing. At least with a nice forum list it's easy to know what latest posts relate to and saves me the confusion (edit lost a letter, but found it again)

If that was the case, then the new fire alarm panels would not still come with the class change port that just activates the external sounders for as long as the relay is triggered (unless you have expensive dual tone sounders I assume)
-
It will be using the class change contacts most likely, it's the same as we do with our Bodet system but instead of the individual time clocks, we use a wireless relay so our 5 seperate fire alarm systems all ring in sync (plus is handy for trigging the bells everywhere for a fire drill) Something like a DANFOSS - 851 - Single Channel Timeswitch, 7 Day | CPC UK is a cheap method to trigger the class change functionality
-
We used Bodet for our lesson change, but it was not cheap. You don't say what your current system was, but you can get time clocks that can be used to trigger the class change function of fire alarm panels.

Bit of fun - who has the oldest (working) Windows domain?
Boredguy replied to 3s-gtech's topic in General Chat
13th October 2003 Not bad really since it started as a Windows 2003 domain and is now a 2012 R2
