The ASTransGen used to be part of the older versions of ActivInspire when it was an actual MSI I've put the contents of our admin.ini file below, and it just sits in C:\Program Files (x86)\Activ Software\Inspire DJ-1701 tested on one of our W10 stations and it still gave him the upgrade option, but it's worth a try. [General] 0= 1= 2= 3= 4= 5= 6= 7= 8= 9= 10= 11=1

Is there an Admin.ini in C:\Program Files (x86)\Activ Software\Inspire ? Setting key 11 to 1 via the ASTransGen tool removed the upgrade to newer version for our Windows 7 stations and staff users, but does prompt if a sysadmin is logged on.

It is at least pulling down the balance to the local system? We had the same issue it sounds like at the start, and they had to update the SQL commands so that the misid was correct for Schoolcomms. Once the engineers got the format right, it started reporting back the balance/transactions

Other thing to check is your network stats on the server. It's possible that the amount of network requests is the bottleneck depending on the size of the files, but as @DJ-1701 said, the slower drives in mirror will also be a bit slower than 10K drives in Raid 5.

Cunninghams Cashless System, SIMS & New Y7 Intake

Have you checked the log file on the Cashless Server (ours is in CRBCunninghams\Impact\Log) There should be a file with todays date (2016-09-08) with information from it's communication with your parental payment system. When we were having issues back in January, the error message was in that file and pointed to a mismatch in the user ID's Other thing to check is that all the iDStore services are running (should be 4 of them) and that the Impact Internet Payments service has not stopped -
@Liam we had a bit of issues when we had Schoolcomms and Impact to behave in Jan when we started using it, but it was purely down to the cunninghams software not matching up the user id from schoolcomms correctly, so although funds were correctly paid, it was not coming down. It took us about 3 days to get the engineer to resolve the issue but *touch wood* it's been fine since.

@thimon you appear to be using the previous version of Windows 10. Anniversary edition moved the Explorer icon from the start menu on fresh installs.

We had similar issues with non-responsive SIMS, but we got the Re-index and the Stat Table updates (14265 & 20647) from support on Monday and SIMS has returned to it's normal self

Our Solus 3 service downloades patches automatically from midnight til 9pm, and duely pulled down patch 22159 yesterday lunchtime. If you do not have Solus 3 set to automatically download patches, you can manually click the "Check for Updates" button and it will see if any are available. If you still do not get the patch, call your local Capita Support Team and they will e-mail you the patch file for you to deploy via dbupgrade -
When I get the error, I just run the ipconfig /flushdns on the server and it's happy. Most of the time it's when stations have been offline for a bit and picked up a new IP but our DNS was not scavenging correctly

We purchased one from JaNet via our ISP, but the blasted certificate used was one that was not a trusted party one. However as it only cost us £35 for 3 years it wasn't too bad. Hopefully when we renew it should get a proper trusted certificate as the last couple were issued by QuoVadis and not TERENA -
