I keep meaning to get Ark Royal, as I have all of Christopher's Emprires Corps. Just finished reading Mike Shepards "Vicky Peterwald: Rebel" and "Kris Longknife: Unrelenting" (in preparation for the new book in October damnit) It's always nice when an author creates a spin off series from one of the characters in a main series and then managed to bring both arks back together with lots of twists along the way.

That trilogy was damn good, I've had them for quite a few years now and they tie nicely into Season 2 of B5, and adds a whole new level to events that occur during Season 3 and 4 (won't spoilt what) I have all the B5 novels, and all 3 trilogies add just soo much back story.

Look for the guy with a bag of jelly babies and a blue box next to them (or someone wearing a leather coat )

No notifications configured, was just killing some time.

Sorry, should have given him more work but it's been very quiet really.

Metal Kerbs..... who thought that would be a smart move. Seems they were causing some cuts in the tyres hence the welding. Either due to compression as the car rode over them or due to loose bolts. Lets hope they resolved the issue

Well it was nice to watch the GP2 session get red flagged while we were out having lunch. Looks like issues with some of the curbs or maybe drains as workers were using welders on some of them.... could be interesting for quali tomorrow...

I am not taking a food with me to a eating establishment, that is bad manners.

Find it funny that the first car to crash out in FP1 was Riccardo who did the Codemasters F1 2016 test around the track earlier in the week and said he didn't want to crash... so just goes to show that playing games/simulators doesn't help the drivers much

Depends on multitude of factors (ie date)

It even has a play area so @DJ-1701 can burn off his meal

Baku City Circuit lap onboard with Sebastian Vettel | F1 News should be fine

Baku is in F1 2016 game, and there is footage from the E3 launch with the Red Bull and Renault going round the track

But Nick, it worked for me all those years we met at the RM Seminars

Server side should not have an issue. Just go through your GPO policies and check your delegation permissions as per the tech article and you'll be fine

I've sent him out of the office as I know he does not use his hands for eating a burger (plus it's pub lunch day tomorrow for us *whistle*)

We flagged up the Windows 7 issues yesterday and they have info now on how to update the GPO policies to fix it
-
Blasted Microsoft. Well thankfully it was only affecting our staff and students GPO's which are security filtered to specific groups (so can't use the authenticated users read option) Setting domain computers to read access for the staff policy on a station that had not yet had the update removed fixed it *yippy*... only spent the last hour making sure the updates were removed
-
WSUS downloaded update 3159398 (and a few others) last night and on 2 stations that had it installed today had an issue where the GPO's are not being applied correctly on stations. Issues apparent are no mapped drives, printers and reverting the desktop to the Windows 2000 style. Removing the update from the station put it back to normal. You may want to check the update on one computer before authorising it out

Our own script, which @DJ-1701 did 95% of the work on, backs up S3, Discover, DocStorage and the SIMS Share for us. The basic PS code for backing up the main SIMS DB's was posted as originally that was all someone wanted

Super Mario.. the only film where the cast being blind drunk was acceptable

NAS is network attached storage, SAN is Storage Area Network. Both have drives, but SAN's are often better than NAS Edit NAS = File level access, SAN = Block level access

Server 2016 Licensing - Confused Now you will be!
Boredguy replied to m25man's topic in Licensing Questions
Actually it was thanks to @Millgate that I mentioned it to @DJ-1701 I'm now waiting to see how much a 2012R2 licence on Select will be as I might just get a couple extra now for some of our older servers that I might be able to update at the end of Summer before taking the risk of the 2016 per core cost. -
It appears that earlier in the code we have the following commands Write-Host "Cleaning up previous database backups." If (Test-Path "$BackupPath\SIMS.BAK") { Remove-Item ("$BackupPath\*.BAK") } Our script has lots of extra bits and pieces as it checks RoboCopy logs as well and e-mails us the backup success/failure each night, as well as connecting to our remote backup server to copy the files.

Can't be a spoiler as it doesn't happen in the film
