I think personally this should be a sanction/discipline issue if it is been abused. Additionally Who is going to be tasked with releasing the emails and deciding they are appropriate? By all means do not allow students to email distribution groups without first been checked or jus don't allow students to email groups full stop.

Why not have VMWare or Hyper V on both then. Put new DC on new server, transfer roles, decomm DC on old server (do a P2V of old server to a seperate VM if need be but if you don't need it then don't bother) make old server a VMWare or Hyper V host then you have 2 servers for a while. Or as others have said go M365 and have minimal services on site.

I guess you should also have ample monitoring to tell you when you have lost fault tolerance rather be in the scenarion where you don't know one switch, a drive, a controller, etc. has failed.

Most things can be achieved by investment but that is sometimes the issue. The org needs to weigh up acceptable downtime against investment I feel then they are answerable.

Midnight or daytime :-) The chances of a loop been anytime someone is physically in the location. I've only seen it the once. It stood out as the network ports on the switch were going mad, it was one of the few places we did not have spanning tree enabled. This is where it helps if you have out of band management i.e. a console port to check logs of switches ;-) We had multiple vlans and it was only the one having issues. Internet and anything network related, found a patch cable in a room plugged from one wall socket to another.

Is this for BYOD or managed devices? Some devices might still need a cert distributed to them even if you use public certs.

When I rolled out O365 in a college (FE) I did not let students email distribution groups either. Also restricted ability to change their photos it was over 7 years back though that I did that and I've moved on since and not admin for O365 anymore :-)

I would say a bigger wide screen however I do a few of videos with screen capture (OBS) and it is easier to deal with separate displays I find. I have 2 x 24" currently stacked (the top one is upside down to allow closer positioning, windows has the display flipped in the settings).

Have you got a task to delete profiles anywhere that is misbehaving. I would not of thought this was an issue with the account created unless you have roaming profiles which is not working properly. Do you use roaming profiles or Mandatory profiles?

What settings disappear? Do you have roaming profiles, mandatory or local? Redirected Appdata?

I have a few docker hosts at home running on Lenovo ThinkStation Tiny PCs with PiHole containers on each host amongst other things. Using Docker compose then backing up the config files should mean easy restore in the event of host failure.

There is a way I have seen on YouTube to get some sort of sync I think it was Jeff Geerling. I run 2 at home but I have not setup any update syncing yet everything goes through them at home and they are configured for DNS over HTTPS.

What do you need the camera for? Personally I'd only have a CCTV system connected to the Internet if I needed it to for notifications or access either at home and if for remote access it'd have to be tied down. Whilst I like Unifi protect for the notifications I don't like the way I have to enable remote access for notifications to work. Do you need remote access or notifications if no to both of these then the best solution is a basic outdoor camera with local SD storage is the prob the easiest route to take and steer clear of any cloud based CCTV systems completely especially Amazon and the like.

No need to have a domain first, you can setup using any address, then a onmicrosoft.com domain will be given and from there you can add more than one domain if necessary

In the config you will be looking for the config line ip ssh filetransfer If you want to automate it you have a few choices both I believe i.e. SSH, telnet commands or 3rd party/vendor software. I would not use telnet or tftp as the transfer is unencrpyted. SSH is better. If you want to manually do it you can log into the switch and either set putty to save the output then do a show run or jus do a show run and copy the output to a txt file Might also be able to grab the config from the switch management on http. You can use PowerShell with WinSCP to automate SSH backups with Procurve switches but not Aruba-CX from what I understand, following is the basic setup. Have you got ip ssh file transfer on the switch?? I believe that disables tftp. BTW tftp is also less secure and is based on UDP against SSH which is encrypted and runs on TCP

I would not hide, I'd restrict what the users could do with them.

Bought a Brother Laser Colour 4-5 years back, very occasional use and still on first toners. I'd certainly consider what you are printing as others have said. I did have an Epson Stylus Inkjet many years back that could do A3 quite decently on the correct paper. I've also had a few Inkjets that clogged up due to not been used.
