It depends what imaging software your using but it's usually possible to cook up a boot disk of some sort.

I don't think the edugeek smilies complaints commission meets very often. Ages ago I pointed out the only countries represented by the smilies were America, Canada & Israel. I never received an official response. I don't think I'll live to see the day we have a Belgian smilie.

Not with that switch you can't, it's a 'Fibre Channel' switch, it's a special switch for use with certain server storage products. It's not for general networking. Have a look at HP ProCurve switches. EDIT: I'm not 100% what you're actually asking, it might help if you gave a few more details about your current fibre.

It doesn't happen very often but sometimes a computer re just decide it needs to be reactivated. Also if you're being naughty and moving an image on to a computer with different hardware it can demand reactivation. However if you need to install new NIC drivers you're stuffed.

Activation can do some funny things when we image stuff.

I wouldn't do that with a live profile, make a copy edit the copy, test the copy then implement. The other method for editing the profile is (and like the above make a copy and work on that); Rename ntuser.man to ntuser.dat, if the profiles name ends .MAN remove this. Assign the profile to an account with not GPOs applied, no mapped drive or printers. Make sure that the above account has permissions to make changes to the profile (at both file and share level). Log in using the account. Make changes. Double check that you haven't left behind anything you don't want in the profile. Log out, making sure you give the system time to log out fully and save the profile. Rename NTUSER.dat back to NTUSER.MAN. Replace .MAN to the end of the profile. Test the profile. Switch over to new profile (rename the old one, then rename the copy to the old profile's name).
