I live in Australia and I didn’t know about this until a few hours ago, via the BBC. I haven’t heard a single person talk about it nor have I seen it on the news. I genuinely don’t understand how this has gone under the radar.

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has managed to get Creative Cloud apps to perform automatic forced updates please? The amount of security issues with Adobe software means it's becoming impractical to do it manually. Ideally I would like a solution that would just force the updates to install. What I have seen seems to make the updates optional for the users to install or done pushing out new MSI's manually via InTune or SCCM. Security standards require patches to be applied within 48 hours, so manually pushing is creating compliance issues. Thanks!

There is a limit of how many times you can use a MAK key. Have we checked if this has been reached?

I would look to see if SIP ALG is enabled. If so disable it. Causes all sorts of funky stuff with SIP.

It’s probably not on the radar due to the cost. It’s very expensive. But works really well! Stopped our pen testers, they couldn’t get in due to it. Also seen it stop an attacker on a test network. I managed to trigger it and isolate a server when I was testing the security I implemented. It’s not simply an anti virus as many think.

I don't actually know, I am not an SME in this area. But considering that Bromcom are struggling with this, I would consider it to be tricky (or as you said possible at all). Because of this would guess it would be more than half a day. I would envisage that Bromcom have already spent much longer trying to solve the issue. I think it is actually a good idea what they are doing. I just have an issue with what they are paying. It is far from what you would pay to get an SME in to solve the issue, especially considering this is a niche area (compared to say networking consulting). If someone on here holds the key to their big problem, I believe they should be well compensated.

All I see is a company who is taking the mick. A cheap way to obtain a goal. In the real world of business IT this would cost them a lot more. There is a whole thread about devaluing IT professionals. This in just another example, albeit not from a school this time.

Even still, doing that work for them for just £1000 is a bit of an insult.

Thought I would update. I managed to source a new in box rack mount NVR quite cheap from a local MSP. They had it left over from a job. I have installed 2 x 4TB western digital purple drives. I am expecting a delivery of a couple of G5 Turret cameras. I am struggling to get hold of these but want something more discreet than a bullet. I intend to get at least 6 more. A few other things cropped up so was delayed a bit!

£1,000 is not a lot of money for this work. If you got a consultant in to solve this it would cost more. There are people on here who do consultancy work and they may not put the effort in. When I was in the UK I charged more than this rate, for easy work I knew I could do.
