  1. Hello, For those using InTune how are you building new computers? We would do so in the following circumstances Machines taken out of long term storage. Machines that are moves between our offline operations network to the cooperate network. Replacement of SSD drives Completely stuffed installation MDT is dead. WDS might be an option but I don't think you can do unattended installation options. Just wondering what you do? Thanks
  2. @mrbios Thanks for the tip about RUM. We are going to do this but via a remediation script In Microsoft InTune. I am testing soon and will share the scripts (one I know they work). I am curious as to how often you run it. I am thinking once every 6 hours. Thanks
  3. How are you addressing the security vulnerabilities in between major releases?
  4. Got this for my daughters Christmas present. The irony of the warning isn’t lost!
  5. Gold plated connectors on a fibre optic cable…
  6. I recently found some old Ghost images on a server at work. Been there for 15 years. Looks like every time they upgraded the server OS everything was migrated wholesale and these were forgotten. Was quite sad to delete them!
  7. Detainment (2018) Short movie - 30 mins Two ten year-old boys are detained by police under suspicion of abducting and murdering a toddler. A true story based on interview transcripts and records from the James Bulger case, which shocked the world in 1993. I found the production quality was good as well as the acting. I found it much harder to watch than I thought I would. Probably as I have a child the same age as James was. Horrific story.
  8. This Possum didn’t seem to care I was knocking about. Just sat there watching me!
  9. For those who have seen Carry-On, I just spotted this on Facebook.
  10. Not mine, but one doing that rounds at the moment.
  11. I also watched it. It was ok! I didn’t turn off but don’t think it will be watched again.
  12. Very broad question. We have ESXi hosts with 2TB Ram each. SQL servers with 64GB but then phone systems servers with 2GB. It really depends on what they are doing.
  13. 100% not. There was an academy local to me when I was at school in the mid 2000s.
  14. From July next year, it will be a legal requirement for Australian critical infrastructure.
  15. I have worked on these. It shouldn't be a switch issue, but as you say IPv6. Switches running on later 2 can carry IPv6 regardless, routers and layer 3 switching is a different story. You might have to configure your network for IPv6 so traffic can be routed. Alternatively, put all the devices in the broadcast domain / VLAN and configured IPv6 on all devices that need to talk to each other.
  16. What does your monitoring system say? Is the line being heavily utilised? Might explain the performance issue.
  17. Password state can do this.
  18. I really enjoyed season 1. Season 2 sucked and I gave up half way through.
  19. I use it. Works well! Oddly enough, I know someone who worked with the founder. They are based here in South Australia.
  20. In all fairness, this could have been avoided and not been a surprise. What did the contract say when the renewal was signed? Did the person who sign it confirm the refresh included both screens? If the contract / agreement said you are entitled to replace all devices get back to them. Otherwise it’s on the school and the person who signed.
  21. Plane (Westland Wyvern) - To pack out the minimum post length.
  22. Not sure about the UK, but when your order online here in Australia, they don’t actually check.
  23. I have just given back my old work laptop. It is nearly 3 years old, the new one is fine but the battery is notably better!
  24. We have a simple rule. Any equipment that is portable - 3 years. Anything statics - 5 years.
  25. @Dos_Box - Would it be better to rename this board from "BETT 20xx" to just BETT and use prefixes on the threads? It means is always correct and old posts are easily categorised under the correct year.
