How to stop kids running bat files when logon script is bat?
bondbill2k2 replied to laugbr80's topic in Windows
Put a ban in their homepaths and anywhere they are able to save to using software path restrictions(one per location GPOs User Config > Policies > Windows Settings > Security Settings > software restriction policies. Then add all the file types you wish to ban in designated file types Id also use resource manager on your server to prevent .bat files from being saved and alert you of those trying to do so and ban .bat files on your web filter. Stopped the problems we were having -

Yea thats pretty big ours are around 40-50GB with alot of software. I'd recommend doing what ive started to do, get a base image with basic minimal software on like office and frequent used things and deploy the rest with msi and scripts

Up for sale is my Fiesta zetec-s TDCI. Only selling as im after something with a little more power, looking at a I-CTDI Civic if anyone has one and is up for PX. I'm currently clocking up 75miles per day on my work commute so the car is being well used on a good run not around town loads, having covered over 25k in 12months I can honestly say nothing has gone wrong and beside a service It hasn't required any work happily seeing daily 60mpg and more if careful. One great point I must say its the amount of extras the original owned had from Ford, I'm yet to see another fiesta for under 6.5k with the same level of equipment PLEASE dont let the milage put you off, I have previously owned two diesel ford focuses one with 115k on and another with 150k, both drove like new still and will happily see 200k+ 97k on clock (nothing for a good diesel) owned myself since 70k Full ford history up until 70k, have serviced every 10k since First registered 27/8/07 MOT till 23rd November Tax only £30 per year! 2 owners before me HPI clear (have forms to prove so) Loads of documents including every service sale invoice from Ford no expenses spared http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/Photo16-02-2012150457.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/Photo16-02-2012150517.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/Photo16-02-2012150508.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/Photo16-02-2012150531.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/Photo16-02-2012150526.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/Photo16-02-2012150537.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/IMAG0238.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/DSC_0876.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/DSC_0168.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/DSC_0171-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/DSC_0881.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/IMG_0535.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bondbill2k2/IMG_0534.jpg Equipment: This is one of the best equip Fiestas around with loads of extras to boot! Reverse parking sensors Ford/Sony bluetooth hands free Aircon Climate control Winter pack - Front heated windscreen and quick clear feature AUX in Auto lights Auto wipers 30mm eibach coils Sub, amp and uprated amp powered front speakers (can be easily removed if needed) these run of the original headunit so no chavy after market rubbish Voice controls for the climate control and stereo Remote audio control Trip computer Fog lights CD Player Power-fold mirrors Bad points: Only some very minor things you'd expect with any car after a few years Tiny dent on the boot which hasn't even mark the paint and is hard to see without being pointed out(see pictures) Couple of stone chips on bonnet which have been touched up and are not noticeable Chip on windscreen which has been repaired by autoglass (have reciepts) Driver powerfold mirror clicks 3 times when locked, super common fault due to a small nylon cog which wears, still works perfect I also know of 3 friends who have this same fault on theirs! £5400ono

I have had may reports over the last 24 hours of ICT students having problems with their work. Ill try my best to explain what is happening and clearly, the work it for OCR Nationals Unit3, the students have inside a 'Unit 3' folder 6 more folders titled task1-6. Task 4 and 5 were creating their fireworks nav and buttons, these have been exported as sliced HTML and CSS to the same location the fireworks files are in. The unit 6 folder has a blank html file in which they are editing using Dreamweaver, when they import their work previously exported from fireworks by clicking Insert>Image Objects>Fireworks HTML most students are having broken image links, but not all students. When viewing the src for each image they are just the file name with no mention of their location which should be ..\Task3\btn2.html etc.... Having never really used fireworks or dreamweaver other then a couple of lessons 5 years ago im not 100% sure what im doing, the ICT teacher tells me they have managing their sites which made no difference and if they manually change the image source the link will display ok in dreamweaver but break once again when previewed in IE. I'll try get some images maybe even a screencast up to show tomorrow as I ahvn't really had time to play around too much with it! Thanks,

The Honda Civic 05> are a great option, the diesels are amazing performers both power and economy, they arn't too bad on the insurance look funky and a breath of something different/new. Not only that they are super practical, the 5 doors are neatly designed to hide the handles, loads of front and rear room along with storage compartments plus a very neat rear folding seat system which not only folds flat but fold up to create a large storage area where your rear seats would be. Check out the what car review video and the seats are shown at 1:45 in. The worst point is rear visibility but to be honest I use side mirrors far more! Having owned both a 1.8 TDCi focus, a 1.6 TDCI focus and a 1.6 TDCI Fiesta id say the focus is a better ride but the 1.6 is a waste of time on them if your going for diesel and their 1.8 isn't the best performance either for your economy returned. The 2.0 starts to get a little thirsty compared to the smaller engines and other car alternatives. I average the very high 50 MPG's commuting to and from work along country roads in my fiesta, great little engine but im too after something a little bigger!

We are having an intermittent issue with one of our network printers, a HP LaserJet 3600. Once or twice a day a document is sent to print which spools fine on our server and the printer picks up this job and displayed 'processing' but regardless of how long it's left the job doesn't come through, nor does it error. However if you turn the printer off and on the print will come through soon as the printer has booted and done configuring. The documents this has occurred with are seemingly random and different types too.

The SSX series has made a welcome return after 7 years since a true SSX game (not that Wii rubbish) I purchased the new game on the Xbox 360 last night but It was a surprise how hard it was to get hold of! Both 2 GAME stores, gamestation, sainsburys, HMV, Currys and a few other stores had all sold out, in the end I managed to get the last copy from Asda. Now if you liked the old games you'll love this, as always crazy over the top tricks super fast downhill courses, easy to learn hard to master controls and the option for the classic and a newer style control system. Reviewers are also raving about the game with an 83 metacritic score and a average 7.2 user score but many lower scores are completely rubbish and abusing the meta system. So anyone up for some rival ghost racing or high score competitions?

Neither, id rather buy a DS Lite or a PSP Slim, both sub £60 both with more and better game selection. PSP + PS3 store = PS1 games on the go and dirt cheap Duo cards

Games can be healthy! My weight loss started when I purchased a Kinect Christmas 2010 and it came with yourshape fitness evolved the prequel to Yourself fitness 2012, ate healthier and lost around 20lbs in 3 months with it. Not really used it since then as I joined a local gym but from September last year I stopped going much, now a member of a closer and much nicer better kept gym and im getting into the habit of 4-5 times per week doing at least 2 miles on the treadmill each night which I aim for under 20mins but I've started to do more HIT workouts. Put on around 6lbs over Christmas too, now the Christmas weight is back off I'm 58lbs down on this time last year and counting! Lets tech up the PE dept, Kinect in future lessons?
