Greetings all,
Hope you are having an enjoyable half term, if you are on half term if not hope it’s not been too busy start back.
We are looking at moving up to office 2013 however after installing it on a few test machines we have notice that it realise on the windows 7 NCSI service to detect if there is an internet connection or not.
Yes, yes office 2013 does not even attempt to connect to the net if this service reports no internet access.
I have seen a few people have posted however I had not been able to work out what was done to resolve the issue.
This a site wide issue, affecting most machines on the network however our servers are hit and miss some are reporting correctly some are not.
I have tried editing the settings within the registry to point to our intranet and a text file and used “Computer Configuration/ Administrative Templates /Network/Network Connectivity Status Indicator”
However I am unsure if I have configured this correctly.
Has anyone been able to resolve this issue and enable all client computers within their domain to correctly poll a website and show connected to the internet? If so how did you achieve this?
Many thanks,
Darx
