Greetings all, Hope you are having an enjoyable half term, if you are on half term if not hope it’s not been too busy start back. We are looking at moving up to office 2013 however after installing it on a few test machines we have notice that it realise on the windows 7 NCSI service to detect if there is an internet connection or not. Yes, yes office 2013 does not even attempt to connect to the net if this service reports no internet access. I have seen a few people have posted however I had not been able to work out what was done to resolve the issue. This a site wide issue, affecting most machines on the network however our servers are hit and miss some are reporting correctly some are not. I have tried editing the settings within the registry to point to our intranet and a text file and used “Computer Configuration/ Administrative Templates /Network/Network Connectivity Status Indicator” However I am unsure if I have configured this correctly. Has anyone been able to resolve this issue and enable all client computers within their domain to correctly poll a website and show connected to the internet? If so how did you achieve this? Hello all, Title says it all to be honest; we are looking at getting a laser cutter into our DnT department however they would like to look at renting one rather than a full purchase. Anyone where on a scheme or something in the same regards? Edit: We are also looking for sewing machines too if anyone is renting that would be useful to know too. Cheers

I see what your all saying about the adaptors, however the teacher wants to roam freely around the room, so the ipad need to do it's "thing" shall we say, wirelessly.

Not 100% sure, we have the casio laser projectors in some rooms but then some really old epsons lol.

Greetings all, As most would be aware that the “New Ipad” is now out and of course our IT teaching staff, are keen to have one in to see how it can be effectively used as a teaching tool. One issue that we are having is getting our heads around connecting the IPad with our projectors within the rooms. None of them are wireless enabled so it will have to be cable option. We know that you can use Apple TV as a go between. Then connect the Apple TV to the projector via HDMI (where supported) and then use Airplay to display the Ipad. One issue that we are going to face is that, most projector speakers are horrible and cannot produce the needed volume for a classroom. So our dilemma is how do we get the sound from apple TV to our Amp and speaker system that is currently installed? Has anyone does this and what tools, go betweens have you used to ensure good sound is possible? Many thanks for any input. Richard
