Interactive panels are much better - especially in room with a lot of natural light If you have big problems to fix old equipment then it doesn't make a lot of sense to spend that money on th eold stuff when you can spend it on new, better and more reliable stuff I would start with a predicted cost over the next 5 years I have done this in several schools - it is always worrying when senior staff regard this as a novel concept that they have never seen before - but it does focus their minds on reality rather than the upfront costs

School busses must be a major problem - I have only worked in one school that used them - but I know of many where nearly all the kids get to school on a LA bus and it will also give problems when you have staggered start times I suppose the bus companies could do several runs??? anyone know what the plans are - or is no-one bothering to plan this sort of thing in case the advise changes - again

Apparently there are some companies licensed to make a generic version of this drug they sell it for less than half the price the US company is charging but only in some poorer countries and is doesn't actually reduce the death rate - just reduces the recovery time

Listening to the briefing I think they said that it just won't work on iPhones But they have been 'trialling' it on the Isle of White for ages and apparently it just can;t work Now - I don;t want to be awkward - but when I was writing program for a living (which I did for 20 years) I used to start off by designing the thing and then looking for the most complex bits and the bits that possibly carried a risk And then get them sorted and test the risks and then test it properly (anyone who worked with me can shut up at this point!!!) THEN the rest of the system would be done and finalised then tested in isolation then tested properly then released for limited use etc etc etc so how come this hasn't come up before now??? OK - not being political - I am actually getting at the company that has been developing the damn thing What in the name of $deity have they been doing?? you can;t expect the ministers to know the details of this sort of complex stuff but the company should be ashamed of themselves for it getting this far this blocker should have been spotted at the first hurdle

I have a (slightly weird) friend who always buys a map whenever he visit part of the UK that he doesn;t already have a map for after a while it developed into a hobby to have a map for every part of the country - but only if he visits it then they started to be so out of date that he needed new ones but - being weird - he keeps the old ones and has them all filed in a bookcase in his hall as he is the same age as me, this makes for a very interesting historical comparison about how things have changed her also has several thousand (probably more) pictures of trains and buses all properly logged and categorised in a database

Looks like there is a plan to get rid of (or reduce) the 2m rule Mainly to make it easier to get people back to work and probably to make it easier to open schools but what about us - my wife is shielding - and if the 2m rule is removed then people in shops will start acting normally and not 'social distancing' in Tesco but my wife is still just as vulnerable as she is now which may be 'not at all' or may be' extremely' - there is no real way of knowing unless she gets it - and then we she how she deals with it Oh - and I have asthma - and am male - and have hair loss - and am over 60 (just) - so I am in several risk categories as well - apparently - maybe maybe I'll just get a lottery ticket and win - then buy a deserted island and hire a personalised delivery service by remote control drone

I was going to say that I very seldom use the features of a Smartphone - but actually I do I like having a camera always available - if I want to go out and take pictures then I'll take a 'proper' camera - but sometimes I will see something unexpected and having a camera in my pocket is useful I also use the GPS and a fitness app (stop laughing!) to track bike rides on occasion I have also got lost on bike rides and having the satnav system has helped a lot and when I cycle to the airport I use the WWW browser to see what aircraft are heading in or out - although that is a bit low at the moment!! At the moment I am paying £8 a month - which is a massive increase from the previous £1.30 until they increased it 2 months ago - I think it was a mistake I seldom use the data much so I will probably go PAYG soon and ditch the contract

OK - never mind - got it working now turned out I had another remote control thingy running at the same time - a museum I was helping at asked me to try it out for them tried it and forogt I still had it installed deinstalled it and everything worked OK Thanks anyway
