Thanks - literally found this a few minutes ago from inews But the Government clarified on Tuesday evening that asthmatics who have had an emergency hospital admission because of their condition, or those who have been prescribed three courses of steroid tablets in a three-month period, will fall into priority group six. For the asthmatics who do not fall into either of these groups and are under the age of 50, they will be vaccinated after the first nine priority groups. which is the first time I have found something specific which means I get the vaccine based purely on my age group

I have been looking fro details about how this works because I could be assigned a sorta middling score on many of those factors (possibly all except ethnicity) but without more idea what the parameters are it is difficult to know e.g. - postcode ===> level of deprivation - we are in a reasonable area - private house etc etc - but on both sides are big estates with high levels of deprivation - so what my postcode would mean depends on how course or fine the targetting is and BMI - at the moment I am classed as overweight (no really - try not to be shocked!!!) but it does depend on what measurements they have - last time I had a check up at the GP they said I had lost a stone since the previous check up - several years before - and that one was about 2 years ago - so dunno anyone seen any details???

Doctor on the BBC this afternoon was talking about the different groups for vaccine He was asked about people with asthma because the situation seems to be confusing - some people think they should be in the 'severe asthma' category but are not sure why they are not he explained that the situation for asthma has changed - originally asthma was thought to be a major possible condition to making people susceptible to Covid but the data they have now doesn;t support this - in fact it appears that people with mild and.or controlled asthma do not seem to get a serious (i.e. hospitalised) problem if they catch Covid Hence the category for people with asthma has been modified and people with only mild asthma - i.e. have a blue inhaler only and need it only seldom - no longer get priority he did say something about steroids changing the situation but we missed exactly what he said so it looks like if you have asthma it needs more than one inhaler to qualify for Group 6 - possibly including steroids - which seems to include Fostair - the pink one anyone get more details?????

Well we had snow more of those little bit if snow falling but not sticking that was it nearest weather station - according to Weather Underground - has been reporting a temperature of between -1 and +1 all day with a feels like temperature of several degrees lower due to wind basically a pain in the neck and - no I DO NOT OWN A ONESIE and I am rather shocked that some people that I considered to be sensible and normal come on here and - not only does it turn out that they own one - but they admit it and even admit to wearing it!!!!!

It's fine saying they will leave a message - but a lot of people don't any more I have had several problems where people have been genuinely been trying to get hold of me for a good reason when they finally ring when I am in they say they have been ringing me for days but couldn't get hold of me there seemed to be no understanding of why I thought they should have left a message In fact some companies have started they have a policy (i.e. they have written something down that they then think is correct because it is a policy) of never leaving a message annoys me because they have me down as being difficult to contact - whereas in reality they have only used a single method to try to contact me and have not even used that in a sensible manner (in all cases they had my postal and email addresses more on topic - 3 dud call today so far one on landline - apparently Openreach are STILL trying to get hold of me or they will cut my internet off - dunno why they keep trying after so many fails??? one on mobile - missed call - whocalledme says it is one of those road accident places another on mobile - much more welcome because apparently I have won 150,000 (currency not clear) on the US Lottery - must be real because they clearly said it was administed by the US Lottery - and apparently they have been emailing and ringing me for ages and this is my last chance (see above!!) we seem to have got onto someone's list

Hmmmm you lot are tempting me to spend money our garden end and then there are trees - not exactly the Amazon - just trees leading to a 'black path' used by locals but the trees are 40-50 yards deep - so presumably some wildlife wanders around at time amazingly - not including the local 'usual suspects' unless they don't leave beer cans behind (and other stuff) which seems unlikely so a camera would be a great idea might see if the supervising authority approves *EDIT* apparently CNN is currently nearly an hour behind on pause - so discussion is delayed for today because of priorities Trump has a lot to answer for!!!!!! Yeah - back in the old days That may have been the year we had snow in Rhyl - where I used to teach a new Head started - first thing she asked for was the snow policy - just in case and because the school she had come from had closed most years she was told - forget it - Sunny Rhyl never closes - never snows - clouds just scoot over the top and drop it all on the hills 2 weeks later she had to close the school for snot - and it stayed closed for several weeks in case the little darling fell over on their way in because most of then walked in staff had to come in though or not be paid - all insisted on by the LEA - but the local paper still blamed the school!!! modern snowflakes - gets a bit cold and they want the day off when I were a lad a snow day meant you MIGHT be allowed to wear your outdoor coat in class!!!!

Thanks for all the answers just looked at AVAST and the export facility is kinda obvious - should have looked first!!!! AT the moment I may stay with AVAST for AV - but it does seem to be of little value if defender aorks perfectly well. it's just that it makes sense that the hackers would look for weaknesses there first but then it probably has more resources to throw at staying ahead so....... anyway thanks again

Anyone know if it is possible to export the passwords from one manager to another might want to look at taking the passwords out of AVAST and use something else - but loads of trouble if I have to sort out the passwords for every website I ever visit!

As promised I am taking this to a specific thread to save it going off topic But I was wondering what anti virus people are using at home at the moment I know it has been done before but the environment changes over time so I thought it was worth seeing where people are now Sophos Home looks good - any comments?? Basically I am currently using Avast Free which seem to work fine and has spotted a few incoming threats - OK - and a few false positives but better that than missing something It seems fine and has a few good points (free being one of them) but does tend to nag about paying from time to time - but then that is probably to be expected which all brings up another point AVAST also acts as a password manager - and seem to do it pretty well is there any way to export==>Import stuff like this to swap to another product???

no more snow here - but the very small amount that fell yesterday and didn't see enough Sun to melt if still around still damn cold weirdly - I cycled along a country road at the back of the airport this afternoon and there are several areas that had previously been flooded most were dried out - especially the big ones but one area that had had a small flood (i.e. only a metre or so going through water and worrying about wet feet) still had the whole road covered with solid but cracked ice bike tyres were wandering around in a worrying manner - mind you they are pretty much slicks so not really ice tyres no snow forecast for the next week as far as I can see

Good new - Mrs mikeprice has had a letter telling her how to book for her vaccine Hmmmmm maybe the one she had a week or so ago has had problems networking with the central server - 5G coverage is bad round here so that may be it That is how it works isn't it????? still better to be invited twice than missing people out so I'm not moaning

Got a Teams meeting tomorrow due to GP bullying me into a pre-diabetic prevention thingy whatsit course I presume I can manage a Teams meeting not done anything like that due to being retired - but current stats are last GPO checkup said I had lost a stone in weight - WHAT - seems the pie and chips diet actually works!!!! and since then my exercise levels have increased to 2 hours every day I can reasonably go out on my bike we shall see what the 'course says - but I reckon that if I keep doing some form of exercise for 1.5 to 2 hours a day then I am probably doing what I can better check I have a mic and headphone for tomorrow it would be embarrassing it I fail a Teams meeting due to techy stuff!!!

Health and Safety GONE MAD!!!!! damn Eu regulations on a serious note - in the old days when I had a proper job in a proper office - I used to commute to work on a train with a 3rd rail for power (Merseyrail) one day there was ice everywhere and when the train on the other side the train stopped and the contact must have been a short distance from the rail so it arched AMAZING blue light lit up the whole area for the while time the train was stopped - no idea how the ice didn't just melt but it was amazing massive power carried by that rail!!!
