a few months ago I was bored - must have been bad weather at the time so I couldn't go cycling so when they rang I talked to them - for as long as it took to make a cuppa and drink it then got fed up and revealed that $whatever this used to result in calls gradually stopping but this time the number of overall scam call increased - by quite a lot since then I have started just saying they are wasting their time and mine - and asking them to take me off their list whcih seems to have reduced the number of calls anyone else seen this - there must be other awkward bu****s on here ??? seems like there might be an organised tactic here maybe - or is it just me??

My wife would suggest that the chances of me keeping quiet would be minimal so the meaning is the same either way!!! (wittering is the word that would probably crop up - or at least it often does during Corrie!!)

We get that sort of thing from my wife's family either - 'a bloke in my cab said' or "I heard $thing and it's all over facebook so it must be true" they seem to be avoiding the dumb virus conspiracy theories so far - but we are waiting!

Nah - pfizer one dunno why - wife had the oxford one at the same place she had a sore arm for a few days - I was fine now I'm feeling - possibly - some effects and power washing a patio is only fun for a while CLEARLY I would come over and do yours - but my power cable won't reach nor will the hosepipe so - sorry - not possible I have the same problem with the electric car - can only just get as far as the road

ANYWAY - back on topic Had the vaccine last Wednesday - felt fine except for slightly tender arm Yesterday I wasn;t so sure - intermittent very brief (i.e. a few seconds) headache every now and again - which is very unusual for me today - kinda OK - headachy thing still there - feeling a bit lethargic - so went for a bike ride which normally cures it got back and had lunch - then decided to power wash the patio - got half way through and felt too bad to continue ended up going back to bed for an hour I'm blaming the vaccine hopefully I'm right and it'll all go in a day or so otherwise I'm worrying too much - but being me I won't tell myself what I'm worrying about - I'm like that!!!

Neighbours have had their letters except for the lady opposite who is a bit younger serves her right for being young!!!! She appears to be making her husband clear out the garage in revenge as far as I can see!!

On another forum some people who are over 59 are reporting being able to book a vaccination despite not getting a letter yet the website says you have to be over 64 - but the system seems to work on 'over 59' so if you know anyone in that category - tell them to give it a go - you have to enter your birth date so you are not cheating! will also apply when we go doen to the next age group - so keep an eye out!!

Great news that you are healed!! and that you have found a doctor that fancies you (that was whet you meant - wasn't it????)

We have been talking about maybe having a few days away down south before the school summer hols - assuming everything seems OK But we won't actually book anything until just before! There seems to be a lot of talk about schools opening over the summer for 'catch up classes' seems reasonable until the teacher unions start asking questions. At the moment if I was a full time teacher I would book a 2 week holiday NOW so I have a reason to turn down any demands to work right though - I can see some school insisting (or trying to insist) that all staff need to be in school over the whole summer!

Seems like you would be OK but are there any hotels (etc) open??? there may be some for sales reps and such - maybe????? and can you get something to eat - I suppose take aways are available - but "eating in your car" is a "picnic" and people have been moved-on or given tickets for it the problem with making specific rules is always the borderlines e.g. what do you do if you have a close relative with a new born baby stuck in hospital for many weeks and the parents need someone to look after the other kids so they can visit the hospital over half term???? sometimes common sense needs to apply and if they allow students back in March then someone needs to transport them (I know I couldn't get to University in the 70s/80s without a car - the speakers took up the whole boot!!!!!)

You need a DFS card - they normally do a 50% off - but only in January - and then another one starts for Spring with has half off - and then another for Mid Summer where you get the front off and the back off for free if we get a frost at 7:14 a.m. on one special Tuesday once every decade it has nothing off at all

Vaccine done - pfizer version had to wait around for 15 minutes 'because it is the Pfizer one' - no side effects so far Oh - and Bill say Hi!

On a similar note I have seen things about bicycle punctures where people stuff the tyre with grass I saw a video of a guy trying it out and it actually worked - but it would have been easier to walk 10 miles home!!!

Hi all Need to get some intelligent opinions on this so I thought I would try you lot My Doctor has bullied me into going on a pre-diabetes prevention course and part of it is to monitor and increase your exercise levels - after all I only cycle for 2 hours a day most days!!! So they have sent me a step counter so I can see my step count Now - before it arrived I downloaded a step counter onto my phone so - The phone version also logs "steps" when I am cycling - but I'm not sure of the mechanism it uses and whether or not the app is accessing the GPS and calculating stuff from the distance or maybe just seeing vibration and logging it as steps but the little thing I have received from the course does not log steps when I cycle - or at other times so I have just come back from riding for about 2 hours (Strava claims 1 Hour 55) - plus walking around getting bike from shed - opening gates ,bringing bin back in (it was about 30 yards away so 60 steps plus I wrote the start steps from each device Android App started at 308 steps - when I came back it said about 8700 steps The little belt clip thingy started at 142 steps - ended at 144 steps - in spite of getting the bin in and walking around a bit when I stopped for a drink so - the question (go on - you knew I would get round to it eventually!!) Anyone else seen this?? Are all the cheap step counters useless? Do Android Apps in general record a reasonable number of steps when riding - the 'tutor' on the course has said to take the number of minutes and multiple by 100 - which is rather more but in the same ball park???? Any comments

Missed a phone call from the Doc today as my phone was on charge (must get a new battery!) but it was followed up with a text I am getting my vaccine on Wednesday I will post any Microsoft updates I get downloaded on the support thread - I think that is how it works - maybe I need 5G reception for it to work - or something anyway - Mrs mikeprice and I even had a tentative discussion about a few days away later in the year!!!!!!!!!
