Apparently I have been watching this all wrong!!!

Mrs mikeprice's son works in the NHS and he said very little about it at the time of course we couldn't even see them much - but he rang quite often He was in the middle of all the problems as he was promoted to manage and work in the operating theatre recovery rooms that were converted into emergency ICT COVID wards When they were talking about them bending some rules so that someone could see both young kids just before they died (or something like that) where the rules said only 2 people and hence only one kid plus adult then that rang very true Out youngest grandson was born into all that mess but had problems and couldn;t leave hospital for many months - including over CHristmas We set up out bubble so that we went to their house to look after the older 2 grandkids while their Mum and Dad went to hospital to see the baby - at least one of them visited very day for several hours but on Christmas they wanted to visit together AT this point the elder 2 had had a brother for several months and hadn;t seem him even once due to Covid rules Which is rather difficult to explain to a SEN kid who knows about a brother but hasn;t seen him and now only seems to have one parent at a time and both are stressed out While we were looking after them we got a phone call to chuck the kids into the car and get to the Children's hospital as the staff were bending the rules so they could see the baby for the first time Mrs mikeprice's background on her phone is still a picture of all 5 of them taken in the hospital by one of the nurses Still bring a tear to my eyes when I think of all that better stop now as the keyboard is getting wet

Just watching Breathtaking its about the pandemic things we were not told plus all the stuff we suspected - told from the point of view of the staff - especially a consultant - in a hospital God its depressing - but real needs to be remembered

Watched nomadland last night - recorded from somewhere Strange film - kinda like the opposite of an action film it is about a woman who is widowed in a Nevada she gives up her job and home and buys a camper van and travels the country she finds a man who has been doing the same for a while and has set up a self help group for "Nomad" to help each other and give advise very slow film in which little happens except people meeting each other and chatting it is very slow but a wonderful film

I feel bad I got a phone call from someone this morning It was Daisy funny how Daisy seems to be such a common name among people from the Indian Sub Continent but who am I to judge anyway - she works for Virgin Media and was very worried about problems they have detected with my broadband we had a nice conversation about how I was and how she was then she explained how they had - verty worryingly detected some problems with my system and how this might explain how my broadband was sometimes slower than usual she asked - very nicely - if I had noticed this I really hadn't but - you know I'm getting on a bit so I might not know about these things anyway - she asked about how many devices I had connected - maybe my TV which I agreed with - it has a yellow wire going into that back of it she asked about laptops and mobile phones I explained that I won;t have them in the house becsaue they are evil there was a pause she asked again abotu the slow speed and I said I had noticed that people do speak slowly on some programmes she asked if I was watching these on a laptop so I explained again how I don;t have these in the house because they are evil she asked if other people had problems in the house I told her that it is only me because.... then she got cut off for some reason I am upset I never got to explain about the witches maybe she will ring back I want to talk to Daisy again I have thought of more stories for her For F***s sake don;t talk to a retired system administrator about "problems on the broadband" when he is bored Dragons will ensue and maybe witches please ring back Daisy especially before my wife gets up and I am bored with morning TV

Probably over simplistic but have you looked at the BIOS - or whatever - to see if it is set to constant speed in some setting ot other or checked the cpu temperate to see if it is OK and, of course, check there is no packing doofer that is blocking the air flow anyway - good luck with it

Looks like Yodel are in trouble may not shut down - but it doesn;t look good They used to be part of Littlewoods when I worked there pre 2002 but apparently broke free a while ago Note - I never worked on their IT systems much OK - a bit - but not really anyway - it was never my fault OK???

Oh - and it needs to work on the ipads and iphones with no implementation that interfers with their operation when they go home otherwise I'll be in trouble and anyway - I don;t know the password for the admin account for them
