I would have to agree. Given some of the feedback on here about outages of certain hosted solutions I am glad we have an onsite UTM that we are in control of. Onsite with good support backing you up is, in my opinion the best way to go.

Just updated and some very nice features. Profiles are a great idea. Really useful thing is that it shows *logged on* users rather than *last logged on user* and when someone logs out their name is highlighted in red. Now I know if a PC is unattended and can be controlled Good work!

Term started last week for us Couldn't do majority of usual summer work as most of the site was closed for asbestos removal. Teacher days were chaos and still way behind but it'll be done when it's done.

Hmm I think we have the same motherboard and I have come to believe that v1703 has some issues with some Intel graphics drivers but haven't quite got to the bottom of it yet. We are seeing some odd results with imaging machines, for instance one issue is that during OSD it won't pull down the drivers from the sccm server yet after OSD it will connect to Windows Update and grab the exact same driver. Works fine with 1511 and 1607 but not 1703.

Actually, let me qualify my previous answers. I have one AD boundary, I actually I guess I didn't need to alter any boundary as sccm knew about it from the AD boundary. Also, I have used several VPNs and had remote sccm clients reporting in and preforming as if they were on site (Direct Access, Sophos SSL VPN and Smoothwall SSL VPN).

Actually, I didn't have to alter boundaries or anything, I assumed that the clients are presented as if they are on site.

Easiest way I found is to use Direct Access (if you have access to Windows Enterprise). DA setup includes specifying the location of your sccm server so takes care of that for you.

What I have done I've past is to create a dummy TS that prompts for a TS variable. If you leave the machines sat at the screen where it prompts for which TS to run, you can click the dummy TS (and it prompts for the var) then hit 'back' and it reloads the TS list with updated TS
