If you have an MS agreement with the SCEP cals included then you are already good to go, we needed to add them on to our agreement but the price was crazy low.

We have a Sophos UTM and did look at using the endpoint software, however it was sooooo expensive relative to continue using SCCM + SCEP so stuck with that.

It did win the "Best TV Comedy" category at the British Comedy Awards in 2003 Just started Sabrina and we love it already!

Are others still suffering with this? Parents are still saying that emails are not being delivered.

Yeah we found that a bit odd. Pitching it as giving them 'a humane death', made no sense to us. Also with the big spider slowly suffocating to death, you could argue that shooting it was merciful. Agreed, he's doing a great job.

We really enjoyed this, far more than expected. Yes it’s a bit far fetched but good fun and worth a watch.

IIRC there has never been a case of a mobile phone being proved responsible for a fire at a petrol station and the warnings started after one fire in the US was wrongly attributed to a phone.

Really liked the Rosa episode and really like this Doctor already. Also hasn’t Doctor Who always had a huge dollop of morality in it? Doesn’t seem out of character.

According to PS, after they changed their email address some parents marked their emails as spam and yahoo blocked the domain. Guess this also happened with the sky and BT addresses. Big problem for us is parents not checking their spam. Had to show a fair few parents that they are receiving the emails but they are being sent to spam :/

Ah I see. Add yahoo to that list. It’s a real mess and i think that we’ll be having that conversation soon.

Having same issue with email delivery, causing a real problem. @AlanJCraven how does installing updated software help?

All our public docs are PDF just to make it easier for people to access but not as a security thing. Did they specify why they have issued this advice?

Yeah there's an upfront cost but annual maintenance is very reasonable

Veeam is amazing and well worth the money. If cost is an issue then veeam free with a bit of powershell scripting is a great option (veeam has a PS module that allows you to extend the functionality of the free version beyond what you can do with GUI)

Some really, really weird stuff going on here at the moment, all centred around one classroom. This classroom has a bit of a history with weird things happening like residents calling the police to report seeing people in that classroom when the school is shut, the alarm regularly triggers in that room without any cause (sensor was replaced in case it was faulty), stuff like that. This bout of activity started when a TA was sitting with a pupil at a desk when she felt something hit her head. She found a square of glass on her head which was really odd. Then, a couple of days ago, kids were sitting at their tables in this classroom while the teacher was demonstrating something on the board. According to everyone in the room (30 kids and 3 adults) a black ball appeared in the air and shot across and went under the teacher's desk. Then the teachers glasses slid across and off her desk. Kids were absolutely terrified and needed a lot of calming down. Everyone told exactly the same story. After school the teacher was talking to a pupil from a different class (who didn't know about the earlier incident) at her door. The lights flickered and the pupil, looking scared said, "Excuse me miss but that coat just moved from that peg to that one". The last teacher to leave that night walked past the classroom and saw someone sitting at the teachers desk. She popped her head in to say goodnight but no one was there. This morning the Premises Officer told me that when he was locking up he heard someone calling from a classroom so ran back to see what was going on as he thought that he was about to lock someone in but no one was there. Guess which classroom? Also, the Premises Officer lives over the road from the school, last night he went out the front of his house and saw something shining through the classroom window and went over to have a look. In that classroom there is a printer/scanner and the scanner unit was up and the scanner was just going backwards and forwards over and over again.
