What generation of TiVo box do you have? The old style Samsung box was junk but the performance of Netflix (and iPlayer) on the v6 box is superb (for us anyway) and beats any of our other ways to access Netflix.

No, an msi won't help with an iPad but it does help me understand what licencing you can have. So, my understanding of you position is that if you have the OVS-ES for Office then you can also add on the 365 ProPlus licences for free This appears on our invoice as O365ProPlusOpenFclty ShrdSvr ALNG SubsVL OLV F 1Mth Acdmc AP AddOn toOPP (these are for faculty). Once this order goes through you get an email with instructions on how to activate the licences via the MSVLC. However... if you have an OVS-ES for Office, you are also entitled to have the Office 365 A1 Plus licences (a combination of the A1 and the ProPlus licence) but getting that to appear is another matter entirely.

Ok some questions just to fully understand where you are at: 1) Do you have an OVS-ES for Office (so you can deploy the volume version of office via msi)? 2) Do you have a 365 tenent setup and have the Office 365 A1 licences?

I use Startrescue.co.uk and they have been great. Used them a couple of times and a local operator has attended in good time. My Dad had expensive RAC cover but when he broke down at night they sent a local firm. He asked why an RAC person hadn't come and was told that depending where you are in the country, they don't come out at night!? Wasn't really worth the extra money.

Whilst, technically, you can set up this type of server in the cloud, cloud services are not really designed to do this and simply uploading your server to the cloud is not best practice (stated by MS). A cloud enthusiast may well come along and dispute this but from what you have said, to me, this has the potential to get expensive very quickly and perform poorly.

Yes I think that you need to know why they want a cloud based server, what roles it will perform and what benefits they think it will bring. Then you can start assessing the viability and costs. Some questions that spring to mind: what bandwidth do you have on your internet connection and what effect will it have on the user experience, is it reliable, what happens if there is an outage? etc

Feel like I’m doing something really dumb here but when I create URL shortcuts to be placed on user desktops I get really inconsistent results with the icon. The way I currently do it is to create the shortcut on my desktop, download the favicon from the website and change the shortcut’s icon to the favicon. The shortcut then gets copied to a share and sent out via GPO. However, sometimes they shortcut that appears on the user desktop has the favicon, sometimes is doesn’t and I can’t see any reason why. Any ideas why or suggestions if a better method?

You don't need PS to assign licences. I just assign AD groups to licences in Azure AD and when AADC syncs users get licences

You can add columns to the view of a collection that shows the last scan start time and last scan end time for both full and quick scans
