  1. AND you may have seen that Peter Jackson et al are looking at "The Search For Gollum". As long as there aren't too many fights, or ****ing rabbits...
  2. Early (ish) digital systems didn't play nicely with data networks. They would stamp all over them until they submitted. I believe they are better now, but beware!
  3. Been out looking at the pretty lights, have we?
  4. OAT - Outside Air Temp It won't be trying to bring that up...
  5. Boing make a Space-Ship... I'd be checking the doors, and my insurance policy, VERY carefully...
  6. Afraid you need a proper man*... We had similar last week or two. Eventually maintenance got the right person in who found the burned out circuit board. *or woman
  7. I saw this, and couldn't parse it. Kept thinking "BH & LOTR ? WTF am I missing?" Bernard; not Benny... It has only just come to me why I was struggling.
  8. Surely ALL scientific calculators have a %? Even if a SHIFT-Function. Casio FX65 (now discontinued) is our standard calc, and it has.

  14. Seems like a bit of contradictory instruction...
  15. We can't even do the tutor group thing, too many buildings, spread across a fair chunk of the city. My building (Science) the technicians aim to leave via a prescribed route, checking rooms on the way (not so as to introduce risk). This is even less doable in other areas.

  17. Gives them a new excuse...
  18. It does sound like they have frustrated the contract.
  19. We suffer too. Usually from a Matron, and usually from Outlook for phones. Default is reply all, and not obvious to the layperson that it is doing it.
  20. For a good aerial perspective of the current eruption:- Clicky
  21. I do wonder if Word and the printer are both trying to booklet. Causing, quite justifiable, confusion.
  22. Some of my colleagues suffered from problems with overheating - causing similar symptoms. Not sure which version of Surface it was affecting.
  23. I think this will also depend on the printer software. I've struggled with it in the past, given up, print it out double-sided, then booklet on the copier. Uniprint on Canon MFDs.
