The Archers radio star June Spencer dies aged 105
Andrew_C replied to 6Foot2's topic in General Chat
Funny - I wondered just the other day if the show was still running. My mother was an avid listener, as was her spaniel. He'd go nuts if you simply dum-de-dummed the theme. -
Our Mag locks have failed. Due to the fitting of 12V locks on 24V system... They have also failed open when the ****** fire alarm company don't re-set the panel after a service call. Open for a chunk of 1/2 term!

A black version of my suggestion above...

Maybe (without looking) just a sheet of 2mm-ish aluminium. Drill holes to match VESA spacing, and another to match mouning holes on PC. I have done similar in the past, but can't be sure that you can access the mounting holes while on the stand.

Are ESS trying to make it harder to migrate away from to SIMS?
Andrew_C replied to Ditto's topic in MIS Systems
It really does look like a lot of MIS providers are trying to portray themselves as the worst of the bunch. -

Isn't that the sort of thing that gets people sued? -
Secure data destruction for a data cartridge
Andrew_C replied to Ditto's topic in Data Protection & Information Handling
Can you elaborate on "data cartridge"? Are we talking tape or platters? Platters - drill through them, case and all Tape - band saw/cut into shreds -
Careful guys - we've got some iffy posts above!

Because they get some kind of kick out of users frustration when all their images dissapear into a huddle in the corner of a document that was fiine yesterday?

Re-reading (again) Spike Miligner's* war memoirs. Done "Hitler, My Part in His Downfall", and "Rommel? Gunner Who?" Which takes you from spotty oik playing a trumpet, up to the capturer of Tunis. *The well known typing error. If you know; you know.

Maybe because he's gone full Nazi? Company may be fine, but the bloke is certifiable.

You'll regret it... 3l diesel - £800 for a cam belt change (I knew that was coming). 10 days later a 1/2 shell went. £4k. Then all the electrics started going west. Rear camera first (no real loss), windows; then driver's door lock, all sorts of other bits. Totally lost any faith in it. Biggest waste of mony in my life.

The app tells me "Access Denied"

Any idea why I see some posts as below? Seems to be a couple of people primarily... Are they using a weird char set? @FN-GM & @Norphy today.

Six sweets - about right allowing for shrinkflation.

You cannot be serious? Wimbledon abolishes line judges after 147 years

Or Brian Blessed? Obviously for different reasons. -
Ummm... "Chicken contains egg" - not sure if it is implicit or not.

Cycling on the pavement - OKish*. However, the cyclist MUST accept that they are doing something that requires THEM to give priority to pedestrians. Bouncing on and off the pavemen, to avoid queues, without even thinking about a backward glance? There's a special circle of hell for you. *Kids, where the council d@mn well should have provided safe space, etc

Tool - it is always the cyclist's fault. (I know, I know...)
