  1. A school in Cheshire used to send me emails about my child in their school. I do have one, and she does live in Cheshire but is 30+. This kept happening until I threatened the head with ICO involvment. Fortunatly, they never sent anything "sensitive".
  2. a) She's under the 'fluence or b) They can. As they are later in the Third Age. OK, it isn't Tolkein, or Peter Jackson, but it is OK.
  3. Depends entirely on what a PLN will buy you... And I know their health service works, with dentistry included!
  4. Done with "cassettes" nailed high up on your walls, microbore pipes between compressor and cassette, requiring lagging.. The aesthetic would be a hard sell in many households...
  5. Header tanks. They provide constant pressure for hot water and heating system. Don't drink or fill cooking water from the hot tap! This is why England has seperate hot and cold taps; to the utter bafflement of Americans. (Our houses are often older than their country)
  6. Shouldn't cost anything extra (well, maybe a little) as most suites will need more than one ring to reduce leakage current on RCDs to acceptable levels.
  7. I don't think anyone has complained in 20 years...
  8. Software is all very well... but teachers need training on it. Yeah right; like that's going to happen. In two refits I've persuaded the sparkies to put in a seperate ring for the monitors with IEC leads hardwired to cable outlets. This ring has a simple switch at the teachers' desk. Nothing to go wrong, no updates, and most teachers can work a switch without an inset day. Sure, software can do so much more, but...
  9. On the food front - Tupperware are in trouble.
  10. This is how a "professional" electrician wired Mrs_C's kitchen... Spot the point where the screw hit the cooker circuit. And was then twisted and taped. To add, I'd done the vertical chace to repair PROPERLY.
  11. As I read this... Sparks has already isolated which circuit is at fault. He suspects the most likely area of damage to be in the wall where cabinets are fixed. Time domain isn't (I suspect) going to be accurate within a meter or two over maybe 10. Unless there is scope for damage under the floor (vermin?) I'd guess he was on the money.
  12. Studiospares gone. Expect gnashing of teeth from Musics Technology types. Link
  13. Keel-hauling would have been too good for them...
  14. In that case, this belongs here. I might have posted it elsewhere...
  15. That's going to upset several of my teachers... Fortunatly, I stocked up with hex, and some spares, a year or so back.
  16. Our hog numbers have been down a bit too. At least 3 this year, may well be more.
  17. I quite liked Long Earth, but the rest went on and on... A better idea than book imho.
  18. This probably belongs here - ETA - READ BY BRIAN BLESSED!
  19. Are your bells on the fire alarm system? If so, I would be very surprised if your FA company don't have an off-the-shelf product. Equally, if it is the FA - DON'T add anything yourself!
  20. Just re-read Hail Mary (probably 3rd time) VV good.
  21. I'm thinking more about being bankrupt by the claims from airlines/banks/Uncle Tom Cobley et al for lost earnings/compensation.
  22. I wonder if Cloudstrike will survive?
