  1. Well, them aliens did something to me, but I can't remember what? Is that perhaps why you keep walking in circles?
  2. Things may have changed with the move to the Cloud... I used to (10+ years ago) Admin our CV account, and when I checked - no.
  3. I've read the lot... I like them; just wish his editor was a bit fiercer. I reccon that the 3rd quater of CoT could have been chopped hard without losing too much of the story...
  4. WHAT!! Little girl, possibly Aus point out window - "It's a ****ing goat!" Mum laughing "No, it is just a goat". "No - it's a ****ing goat" - NSFW, well in not tolerant workplaces anyway.
  5. Are we in "it's a ****ing goat" teritory?
  6. I saw what you did there. It doesn't matter where you run to - away is what counts.
  7. Really NOT a good place to start...
  8. REALLY funny, and oft quite cutting. As to order - not really. However there are a few pairs/sets that do need to be read in order. Witches Abroad before Carpe Jugulem, the "Moist arc" . I'd recommend starting with Equal Rites. It is a more polished book than the very early ones, which you could go back and read once the bug has bit. My favorites are probably The Watch arc, or something with DEATH in it. He's an Anthropomorphic Personification...
  9. I wonder who might be rich enough to buy it? And whether an inside deal might just be being hatched...
  10. We've just scrapped that and gone back to rows. Teacher working wirelessly can sit at back or front.
  11. Words written in Word, illustrations added in DTP, Published. BUT - they are killing the PUBLISH bit, and expecting you to fart around with text boxes...
  12. I suspect they don't like the protection you get with credit cards...
  13. What an utter PITA. Really useful if you want the images and text TO STAY WHERE YOU PUT THEM. I'm looking at you Word...
  14. Boots recalls paracetamol over labelling error. BBC
  15. Shreddies I thought that was the whole point of sugar coatings?
  16. Testing / investigation to see if it was an installation / user / design fault at a guess. And being legally fireproof before blaming the mfr.
  17. BMS systems all over the place - but far from simple (or cheap). Wiser will do "OpenTherm" if you boiler supports it.
  18. I don't think (as a home user) that it is going to scale nicely. You could probably do it, but it would be a fudge, and tedious to set up/alter schedules. Add in the joy of replacing AA batteries in each TRV about once a year... That said - they may do a more commercial version.
  19. Sympathy for the 4th Estate may be in short supply.
  20. I'm up for painting some targets... ETA - any raffle will be decided by how many tickets you can buy!
  21. I suppose with engineers, it depends a lot on the guys in your area, whichever brand you go for.
  22. I've no knowledge of reliability - when users from Science (Canon) had to go to the other end of the school for printing on the Ricoh's the air turned blue. They hated them with a fiery passion. Admittedly, this could be a "trying to do things the way I know, and can't get my head around the other way of working" but... Our Canon are fairly relaible, Agilico call outs quick and good. Most faults are down to teacher pulling out most of a jammed page.
  23. Don't look up!
  24. See above post!
  25. If we don't talk about politics, can we talk about an old man that needs a mental health intervention?
