The pic is of a barometer, and a weather station we've got outside my office. On the barometer, "Storm" would be about 7/8 o'clock. The needle has dropped below that to about 5 o'clock. 723mm of mercury is very low, about 963mBar. 948 is the UK record from 1954.

Look at the motherboard in the PC. Look for scorch marks or blown capacitors. More likely that something downstream is damaging the PSU. Unless the voltage is hideously high, which, you'd think, would have been spotted earlier.

ULTRA-OLD?? Lanterns from the 60's/70's will still be usable, possibly needing a re-furb, and will outperform LEDs in SO many ways. Yes, you CAN get high performance LED lanterns with framing, focus and gobo projection, but these are £thousands. Cheap LED par cans are better if you only need to throw some colour around. If this is all that is wrong, have them repaired. Possibly out of a different budget?

I think "smoking training" is a red herring. It is simple - "thou shalt not smoke on company premises, or in company vans. Thou shalt comply with the law in place at the relevant time". Whereas AUPs tend to be longish documents, covering things that the layman may have no clue as to what it means. (Maybe they should but..) MFA, AUP, and a whole host of other TLAs that obfuscate rather than enhance a document. Of course, anyone HERE will have a nice, simple, plain English AUP, won't we?

A bggrs muddle here. School spread over 1/4 of the city. Different plans for different buildings, and a night/wet weather plan too. Not really an option for a "one size fits all" plan, so it may be the best option. We use paper on a clipboard in science. We try to keep the set lists and timetables up-to-date. It is however impossible to be 100% accurate.
