Hi, First.. sorry to jump onto this old thread! Currently have the same problem. Ruckus support won't even entertain support without a valid support contract. At the start the ZD kept dropping off. Now when you power on the device you hear a beep. solid status and power light. ZD1200. I am kinda hoping I can get a support contract and then phone them. They wouldn't even extend the entitlement by 1 day so I can apply the latest firmware incase that worked. Now it is more worse. Anything you can do to help? Kind regards 5nowman

Hello... Hope you are all well. Kinda out of my depth here. We have fibre going into cabs and then a media converter. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Ethernet-Converter-Multimode-Transceiver-1000Base-SX/dp/B07MQ4LGGQ working at the moment. I want to put this into a cisco switch on either end. I ordered 2 SFP modules and the fibre end bits are too big to go into the module. Hello everyone.. thanks for all the help on this one. Issue was resolved by disabling directory for children. Envelope went away. Also, staff are allowed to change their display name from say Indiana Jones to Mr Jones. Change restriction pushed to allow this from google admin. They can click on profile and change display name which propagates into google classroom. I know this seems crazy but it was asked and delivered... hopefully the info here helps someone else. The name in the directory stays the same so it is a win win for all. Thanks again! keep safe. 5nowman

The default directory is autopopulated though right? it used to be unless they changed it. Custom Directory is different.

We had teachers moan about full names on google. Teachers can change their names on profiles from say Tom Jones to Mr Jones. This propagates throughout the system to google classroom however in the directory (which staff only have access to) they appear as Tom Jones. Enabling Gmail for children gives them full access to the directory and to remove them you have to go to each child and remove from directory.

Students can comminicate to teachers through classroom. As a part of the curriculum they will need to email depending on year group. This is a primary school. When the kids need to email as a part of the ICT lesson gmail will be enabled. It is better to control and gradually allow access. Learn in phases.

Parents help children on google classroom and they think it is ok if they email the teachers. It has already happened... thus we want to remove it... hopefully that makes sense?

Hello! Hope you are all well. I could really do with some help. Google classroom - pupils can see teachers emails and we want to prevent it. As a pupil 1. go to class. 2. click on people 3. next to the teachers name is an envelope and if you hover over it ... it displays the teachers name If you have outlook setup then it would start a "new mail" to the teacher. Any way to block the envelope? Hope that makes sense. 5nowman

I did some research. They are cheap and cheerful. I saw a couple of americans reviewing the device on youtube.. Plastic.. camera works. Google classroom will work. If it breaks replace.... Expect sound to be bad apparently. Just remember the price.. you get what you pay for. Remember this too.. there is a looooong delay time. Orders placed in July due to come in, in October. Hopefully they join google chromebook device management ok... and the wifi is decent. I hope this is ok.. will try to test it once they come in! 5nowman

Hello. I can only speak for the 3 x DfE Digital Learning Platform grant setups I have witnessed. These were for google however they will setup sync with a MIS, secure the learning platform according to guidelines set by the borough / gov and give basic training. They will setup pupil and staff accounts and do a first setup of syncs from the MIS. I don't want to mention the sync company they used for mis to learning platform however there is a yearly charge for it (included for the first year). The grant does not cover full size training. Invest in a proper company to come out and give training or do what I did.... Find a nice set of google videos for teachers to follow, vet them and see which you understand. I had this error! Basically I had to right click and run as administrator on solus deployment for it to work. No faffing about with permissions luckily. Hope this helps someone in the future.

Keep a Lookout.. You are right.. the patch got pulled. New ones are coming out with SAGE codes etc. This was the reason why I could not see the patch I was looking for.

" Guidance for SIMS schools for attendance from 1st June 2020 – Version 3 (01.06.20) Schools should resume taking an attendance register from the 1st June. Whilst not mandatory, applying a consolidated patch 25863 will ensure SIMS is able to assist schools in meeting the DfE requirements of reporting on attendance during the Covid-19 outbreak. " Has anyone managed to install this? We don't seem to be able to see the patch on solus.. even though show all updates is ticked. Which mailboxes are you connecting to? The issue I had never got resolved... I didn't get much help and strongly believe it was linked to the licensing on the exchange server itself) however no help was given except an excuse to say we don't support end clients. The solution in the end was running outlook 2013 / rest of office 2019. Very very bad solution however we had 2 machines that needed this thus it was ok.

Crud! I did not even think of that! I even went to Outlook 2013 > upgrade to 2019 .. and then BAM error. I'll have to ask Atomwide about exchange! Will do more digging.

Hi Everyone! Hope you're all ok. I really need some help on something that is driving me crazy here. 1. School has emails managed by LGfL / Atomwide. 2 A shared mailbox [email protected] is setup with Atomwide. A member of staff has full permissions to the shared mailbox and can open it fine on Outlook 2013 - can see folders etc. On Outlook 2019 we get the error: The set of folders cannot be open : This error usually occurs if the Outlook Data File (.pst or .ost) you are using is: Unavailable Protected with file permissions On a share on a server and the network is down Corrupted To correct this problem, save the Outlook Data File (.pst or .ost) on the computer hard disk. You might also want to run the scanpst.exe tool drive:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15 folder to check the data file for errors. PST etc are fine... and I am totally out of ideas. Hoping someone here has had the same problem. OS = Windows 10 LTSC Office: Office pro plus 2019 Any ideas how to see the shared mail box? Please let me know. Kind regards 5nowman

They Duplicate. The projectors need a different resolution to fit the promethean screens. PC's require a different resolution. You could do all that from the intel control panel not the windows 10 one. This is bad.. hope others read it and preempt this issue.

All, Hope you are all having a good summer. I got a situation which others might have had. Windows 10 LTSC Dell 5260 all in one has intel uhd 630 drivers Intel no longer bundle the Intel® Graphics Control Panel !! you need to download it from the microsoft store (I kid you not). Windows 10 LTSC has no store - we need dual resolutions (one for pc one for projector - which can only be set using the intel control panel). Anyone managed to get an offline installed? I tried to search the net and came to nothing! Any advice?
