When you removed the 2TB Disk from the VM, did you tell it to "remove from the Virtual Machine and Delete Files from Disk" or just "remove from virtual machine" ? If it was the first it will have gone from the LUN and be why you don't see it anymore, if you did the 2nd it will be floating around in the LUN still. If you are looking at the datastore view and looking at "Capacity" its a cached view, you need to hit "refresh" on that box to get the latest size as it will be out of date. A great tool to have for VMware is RVTools, @Domino introduced me to it and its great shows snapshots hanging around, media not ejected, orphaned files in LUNS etc so well worth getting and its free! RVTools That will help you find missing / orphaned files. I'd also advise grabbing a full export from RVTools periodically as part of DR as its great for all those settings like MAC Addresses on the NICs for those fussy programs, structure of VMs etc.. Before we do any major changes to VMware we grab one just-in-case the brown and smelly hits the fan as another layer of backup so to speak over actual backups of the VCentre Database etc.. Actually just spotted you have a Thin Provisioned LUN (yuck!) I recall at one point a strongly recommendation from the LA that schools got rid of 4 ways etc unless it was a temporary installation and getting extra sockets put in if its permanent, which is probably sound advice as the cabling will be checked and its less likely to be damaged by the hoover, being stood on etc.. Any refurb I insisted a proper job was done and enough sockets were fitted as required, annoying to management but no more 4 ways, trailing cables etc...

Editing PDFs is possible in the newest versions of MS Office, nearly all of our requests for Adobe Acrobat to edit PDFs are solved by showing File > Open and then find the PDF via Word and its conversion is pretty good.

HP do an equivalent one as well and various options for fixing to monitors, walls, desks etc in the accessories section They are the Mini Range.

Excel from Comms Express are what I used, I tried various makes, used to like Mills ones but they become naff and failed easier so back to Excel from Comms Express and they were great.

I use Backup Exec for our Exchange servers, backing up a 4+TB DAG and it works great. Whatever you do you need to ensure its a true Exchange supported backup to sort your logs out

One thing to note about all the SMS Providers... once its been submitted to the networks its out of Capita (and other's) hands. So if its SIMS not passing to the networks then fair enough but if they get delayed / stuck on the network / sender they use then your out of luck. For example once a few years ago when we had epic sudden snow in the north and were saying we are still open, so issused texts to staff and parents and some of our texts were sent at 6:30am it took till nearly 8:30am for them all to arrive (I was sat in staff meeting as various staff phones went ping ping ping with them was quite funny!) Admittedly it was the EE Network that was slow others were fine but the system we used had send them all to the networks within 2 minutes of me pressing send.
