I would give Biostore Fastrak a look, we have it in our school and while we're not huge yet I rarely get any issues from the cafe regarding tills. The ID Manager side of it is brilliant, and the admin console is great too. It actually looks like software designed from 2010 onwards instead of a bunch of cobbled together Windows 9x/XP applications that don't work together! Confirmed - you need to have a CC on file to purchase apps OR you can purchase VPP credit through an authorised reseller and Apply it to the account this way. This way she has to sign off the purchase of the credit and then you can show what it is being used for in the account history

How did you deploy Chrome to the machines? You'll need to use custom settings file to configure Chrome at deployment so it installs correctly

I keep finding this kind of stupidity around where I work / live, lots of not quite country lanes but they aren't that wide and most aren't overly well lit (or at all in places) and the amount of divs I find with no reflection on them of any kind either on the bike or their person, without lights, without light clothing (and so on) is terrible. My last place had modifications to the fire alarm, and a few 'lockdown' callpoints situated in various locations through the school. When smashed, a different tone would sound which our staff/students would be familiar with and then the correct procedures were to be followed. Best option imo

I tend to use some of the un-used but usable fields in AD for this kind of information such as employeeID and employeeNumber, easier than editing the schema. Although you can edit the schema yourself make sure you read up well before doing anything and make sure you have backups just in case something goes wrong! You can run both - you'll need to get another physical box prepared and then run the remote services deployment in server manager again - leave the existing CB/gateway/redweb roles selected, choose where to put the licensing server and then choose which box you want to use for session host. You will need to get CALs for this though, and the license server will check in on your Microsoft agreement for quantities purchased. You'll have 180 days grace before it will become an issue if not licensed... Then just configure your desktops on there and away you go!

It's not the hardest thing to do but make sure you get yourself a wildcard SSL cert if you're going to go live with this. I got ours from CBT Solutions (http://www.cbtsolutions.net) who I think I found references to on here. I think ours was around £58 for a year, and I have had absolutely no problems with compatibility and when I did need to speak to them they were more than happy to help. Ideally you will need 3 separate servers, one for the connection broker (CB) role, one for the gateway role and one for the RDWeb role. You will then need a separate physical machine either running Server 2012 with the HyperV role installed or a box running HyperV Serverfor your actual machines - are you thinking of doing session host or virtualised desktop? If doing session host you will also need a licensing server although this can sit on one of the boxes doing CB/gateway role. You will also need to bear the cost of licenses in mind, not much relatively speaking but it is one thing you will need to cost for. You'll need to use server manager to do the deployment, it is quite straight forward from start to end just make sure you read instructions carefully but even more importantly plan on what you intend to do with it. Is it a simple limited remote access system or will you expand it to a full blown VDI or a large scale remote working solution? Just things to bear in mind as you deploy the various infrastructure as it will need to scale out. As for your ISP, I don't know what your agreement with them is but providing they have no stipulations about not allowing remote access all you will need is two IP addresses, one for the gateway and one for the rdweb (although I think you can do it with one IP but I'm not sure - again think long term with this one) and then you will need to set up your firewall/router accordingly. What version of Exchange? Are they being modified still? If not I'd guess safe to delete although I'd be bloody nervous doing it... stop the information store service before doing anything though. Hope you have a recent backup just in case! Is the box virtual? Thinking if it was expand the disk and then re-defrag

Hmmm I think that SCCM manipulates the WUAgent when it is deploying updates but if you tried to do an update through the normal Windows Update panel it tries to hit the WSUS server that isn't configured, but I am thinking out loud here!

Are you session or virtual desktop based Sagima? Trying to get my head around this licensing at the moment

Has the WSUS server properly sync'd the downloads to the update definitions yet? You shouldn't need to set any GPO's for SCCM updating... have a little peek in the WSUS console see what's going on You can also check the %windir%\Windowsupdate.log for any hints

Ugh, offline files You can set a GPO which should force sync before log off as well which could help keep the cache up to date... if they log off!

Does it seem to happen at the same kind of time when it does happen? Could be something smashing the I/O on the array and upsetting Exchange (unlikely) or perhaps a backup utility is causing problems and not dealing with snapshots or VSS correctly? I would certainly go with psydii's idea though mate at least if there's a problem with the SAN and another company put it in you can tear strips off of them legitimately Good luck!

Do a gpresult on the client so you can see what might be happening - are they wired or wireless?

Also if it's doing windows update post-domain it would be worth making sure there's a reboot in the TS before the update steps so that GPO has fully applied
