Hi everybody,
New around here, but have been lurking for a fair while now.
I have a question, we have 30 laptops in two lapsafes, but the kids can never seem to be arsed to log them off or shut them down properly, and it takes time to go through them all and shut them down (and where the damn things are kept right now, you dont want to be for too long (ex blokes bog room))
So, I was wondering, is there something in group policy I can push out to these laptops to have them shutdown when the lid is closed?
The options there with updated Vista GPO's but these laptops are running XP so I'm a bit stuck there.
Another option I have had... is pushing out a scheduled task to make them shutdown at 4pm every day, so that way none of them are left logged in or on in the safes.
Anybody got some ideas? Cheers
