Could try spraying some AC cleaner onto the cooling coils? I know there is something around you can get for car AC systems but it's surely the same principle? That'll be the smell though!

If it's a petrol mate it could be all sorts of simple things, could be a simple sensor like MAF (air flow) right the way round to coil packs or similar. How was it running when the light illuminated? Rough? Underpowered? Misfire?

Heyyy cushty!! Make sure you let it warm up before giving it a rag aswell (if you do), harsh revving when cold will help to blow the HG up! Hope the car is good for many years! My old 416 was a good car

The HG is prone to failure on the K series models, definately on the 1.8K but the 1.4K is a bit better, with the 1.6K in between. They can go on their own accord, however if the coolant is kept topped up and the fan is working, it should be fine. You can get the HG done after you buy it, especially if the cambelt is due, but it could run you about £300-450 depending on who you get to do it. Don't pay over £500 for it. As somebody else said, revvy little engines, which make a good sound, and the 1.4 is relatively powerful for its age (104bhp) and yes the street cred is none existant with the Rover brand but if you don't care about it then who cares it'll probably be a good car which you can run into the ground. When you buy, make sure there is no sludge (mayo) in the coolant tank, or under the oil cap. Any sign of it, walk!! Or get them to test the HG Hope this helps

hi all, a group of our staff and students wish to use fireworks for some reason - i despise it but oh well. my issue is that while we have a package to roll the crapware out with, which works fine, it then proceeds to take over the entire world... or at least file associations on the machine, opening JPG's with itself instead of simple previewer, which is a pain and something i want it to stop doing. how do i go about doing this, either making a transform, something in a gpo, something rolled out to the machine or a last resort, a login script *shudder* i've seen stuff about assoc but i'm not sure if commands like these will work for our locked down student/staff accounts? any ideas welcome :)

for some reason they don't with me monkey, they leave files in the folers too O.o Zero... we don't use SCCM for it at the moment, something to work on but they are xp clients but it's not a capture/reinstall, just a build from scratch. i don't know if it's BDD07... but it says solution accelerators, and i'm not quite sure what suite of products this comes from?!

Hi guys, I have a question to pose, does anybody else here use BDD07 (comes with SCCM07) to deploy their desktops? If so, how do we go about getting it to clean up after itself so to speak? It leaves Sysprep and MININT folders in the root of the C:\ drive, I have tried a simple run command task in the sequence to delete it but it did not work. Will this need to be run in a batch file to work?! All ideas welcome Cheers, Steve

thanks for the suggestions guys, I will try both. i have the wisesoft tool open at the moment, and it does look good! i'm looking for ways to change usernames in it at the moment, but incase i can't figure it out or their site doesn't have anything on it, can somebody point me in the right direction? btw, for our normal bulk creation of accounts, we use something called dovestones. very good software, creates all of the accounts with exchange mailboxes etc very quickly paid for, but good!

hi guys, i have a new question for you all! we need to change our kids usernames to a new format for the introduction of our vle (frog) as at the moment they are in a very non standard format thanks to our LEA. we have a bunch of excel sheets we have done which have generated their new usernames, and paths for homedirs etc, but we have no actual utility to change these accounts en masse! does anybody know how we can do this? cheers

my question is has anybody had issues with sound? using smartboard usb speakers? we use the klite codec pack here, but when a teacher plays back a dvd using MPC the background audio/music is loud, while dialogue is very quiet. we have played around with lots of settings but cannot fix it, and the only way is to use vlc. logical option, use vlc, but my manager doesn't like vlc so we can't use it. does anybody have any ideas?! cheers
