    You need to get a licence key for esxi. It free. Look on the vmware website. You can import your old vm by copying the files to the datastore then right click on the vmx file and Add to inventory. You can use vmware converter as well.

    If the procjector has a kettle lead then it is most likey a class I device and needs a earth. It would fail a PAT test if the earth isn't connected and could potentially be dangerous.

    The file you have is for use with HP Smart Update Manager. I've just checked the HP site and there is a bios update which can build a bootable cd.

    All the e-mails are stored as test files. Just backup the MDAEMON folder. Have a look at this as well http://www.everything-mdaemon.com/mdaemon/plugins/md-mrtg-version-110 Gets you stats from the server. Andy

    Just bought two of these. They will ESXi with a little bit of work.

    We have L2 netgear edge switches here.(FSM750S) They support vlan tagging.

    I'm using WDS but its sysprep that does all the renaming. Lots of info on here about it.

    If your machines have guid you can prestage them in AD and then sysprep can take the names from there.

    What switches are you running?

    Are they HP servers? If so HP have a calculator that will tell you the power loadings. If not one of the power meters SRochford metioned will do the trick. According to my UPS my server room is only pulling 10.7amps!

    sky+ boxes have optical out. (well mine did!)

    SkyHD will work with a normal TV with scart. You can even watch the HD channels(scaled down of course)

    Try updating the boards firmware as well.

    Put an ACL on the vlan. Only allow rdp from the Thinclients to the servers. Deny the rest of the hosts.

    Nice one. You just need some static routes to route back to your subnets.

    Assign a port on your hp switch to vlan3. See if you can get an ip address there. It will prove the config on HP switch is correct.
