Quality! Pure quality! The 1-star reviews are worth a read, on their own! Shame I cannot give more rep for that find, Rawns!
-
HAHAHAHA!! Yep...I admit it...."Owned" :D:D

Thanks Rawns..... Now I have to wipe a mixture of tea and snot off my desk.....whilst the inside of my nostrils feels like they're on fire! Note to self : Don't read thread whilst drinking tea!!!

Apologies...I totally forgot to put.... "Right-Mouse-Button" IS forward! "Left-Mouse-Button" is fire primary weapon!
-
PAH! WASD FTW???? NEVER! You can take away my freedom, but you'll never take my UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT combination!!!
-
Just out of interest, I thought I'd put my configs in.... I tend to use the arrows for movement, with UP being jump and down being backwards. Then, because that's a preety clean area of the keyboard, I use "0" and "1" on the keypad for secondary weapons. "Ctrl" becomes crouch "Shift" becomes prone "End becomes reload "Delete" and "Page Down" become sway left and right Based around this area of the keyboard has worked very well over the years, and I have managed to convert lots of friends to "MY" way of thinking! This does seem to make games a little easier!

Allegedly, it was conducted next to the Donut shop!

Except for lock you into THAT OS and no other! Oh, have I mentioned Apple's walled garden?? I almost went for the W7 phone, but having heard how they bricked a load, with one of their updates, I thought.... Same old, same old, from Microsoft! Android it is, then!

Too fiddly for my liking! Where's the danger of taking a finger off, with a stanley knife, when you delve into the box? Where are the loose screws that always roll around the bottom? That's not a toolbox! It's the lifes' work of someone who probably doesn't have a wife....anymore!! -

My apologies go to Chr1s. I've been away from here for a few days and hadn't seen that thread. -
Ok, so I picked this up from Twitter and Facebook, and it is certainly going viral! BigAl's Books and Pals: The Greek Seaman / Jacqueline Howett It is worth noting that some of the language is [NSFW], but as unlikely to be seen unless someone is standing RIGHT on your shoulder! Read, enjoy, and wonder at the stupidity of people!

That's WHY Android is better..... You never see iOS out in the wild, doing stuff like that, do ya? I think Steve Jobs keep iOS in a cage, so no-one else can play with it! :sarcasmsmiley:

If anyone can explain to me how it is that we let Tunisia and Egypt do things their own way, for around 2 months, and yet just a couple of weeks into the Libya protests, we rush in with tactical airstrikes???

Some Advice, Thoughts and Opinions....

Agree with some of that! However, I'd be looking at a space at the back of the store, to kit out, so that the dirty, smelly oiks are separate from the main shop!!! -

You'd certainly want to be somewhere with cable, for a decent conx....Plus, you gotta be looking at 15k, start-up for the gaming area.....And that's before you talk fixtures and fittings for the actual shop! Big bucks needed for my vision!!! -

I had considered this, a few years back, when I lived in Essex. My dream was to open a PC repair/upgrades shop, and have a room out the back that was kitted out for LAN gaming. Therefore, during the day, you'd try to attract passing trade, but in the after school times, you could have teenagers in, keeping them off the street, and playing the latest clan games. It's something that I STILL think about, even now. If you had a group of 8-10 kids, who were interested, that would feed through to others at school, and you might find that it blossoms. As for a straight shop....I think the times are too risky for a start up. -

Is it as badly processed as George Michael's on True Faith? A terrible cover version, IMHO! -
I would disagree with that view. Although it has not been heavily publicised, except for the last week or so, Windscale was a well-known fact. The problem with something that happened 54 years ago, is that is IS history. You can go back and read about it, but it's hardly going to crop up in EVERY History lesson, as it wasn't THAT big a deal. By the time the early 80's came round, and I was doing history at school, it was referred to , but we had the much more recent "3 Mile Island" disaster to talk about. Just because it's not overtly talked about, doesn't mean that it's being covered up. Of course, at the time, they would have covered it up....and in much the same way that the Japanese are covering up the worst of the Fukushima problems....but that's BIG Government for you. *EDIT* It may also be worth reading some of the "Comments" section to see how much of a cover-up there was! Daily Mail strikes again! Oh, and did you know that house prices are going through the floor, because of the nuclear fll-out from Fukushima? Source: Daily Mail (Probably!!)

Nope...they took off from here....went via Ascension Island, and onto Falklands via re-fuelling with VC-10 tankers (I believe!) Best thing I ever saw: Harriers coming into land, on the deck of HMS Ark Royal, in a force 9 gale......Ahhhhhh....Memories!!!
-
My pleasure, buddy! I was in the RAF, so took great interest in that book, as I was on basic training at RAF Swinderby, in 1986, and a Vulcan flew over at 500ft. The ground shook.......... It was almost the best thing I saw, whilst I was in HMForces!
-
Absolutely....Excellent read. Have some rep, Joe!

And yet, the mission is STILL the same! Protect the oil interests! Why did no-one bomb Zimbabwe? Why is no-one bombing Bahrain? Yemen? Saudi? Anymore? All of these countries have similar demonstrations going on, and yet, we go hell fo rleather in Libya. Doesn't really make sense, does it? Maybe, we are just making our way, alphabetically, through the muslim world, and Morocco will be next?

[video] Inside a flight data recorder - [ old type ]
aerospacemango replied to mattx's topic in Jokes/Interweb Things
Great little film for anyone who's interested in flight (Me!) One question though..... Seeing as the flight recorder always survives a crash....Why don't they make the whole plane out of it????
