  1. Thanks to glennda who helped me sort this out. All working how I wanted. I have got to do the same at some other schools so will post a step by step at some point.
  2. Normally do Sunrise festival but they have moved the date this year to the summer solstice as Glastonbury is not on this year. Normally Sunrise is during the June half-term but as its dates moved I cant go.
  3. Trials evolution is out. I am hooked already. RedLynx - Trials Evolution Gamer profile = ASNet0007
  4. Had my S2 ICS update a few days. Not much changed due to the overlay installed. Now thinking about rooting it, but not sure how different a clean Google phone would be over what I have.
  5. OK the converter worked for the DER format which only needed the cert file, but Adito does not like it. This is stating to wind me up. If someone can get this working for me I will send them £30 via paypal or bank transfer.
  6. ok just found this info going to try later. the info was on this page and goes on about lots of stuff I do not understand. maybe someone who understands this can check it out.
  7. sorry should be A reply from a certification authority A root certificate for your web servers certification authority. A certificate from a server you wish to trust. A key for a server that requires client certificate authentication.
  8. Still no joy trying to convert. Just jumping ahead, when it comes to importing the cert in to Adito which method or methods do I choose
  9. Well I am having a major issue trying to convert the cert. https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-converter.html I upload the cert to be converted as a PEM (is this correct) I then select PKCS#12 as the format I need (is this correct) It then asks for Privet key file chain cert file (optional) chain cert file 2 (optional) from the cert company I have downloaded cert.cer ipsCAGlobal.crt ipsCALEVEL1CA.crt I also downloaded a bundle file that has both ipsCAGlobal.crt and ipsCALEVEL1CA.crt in one. I am getting this error I just seem to be going round and round and really need some help.
  10. ok got my certificates. Do you have any step by steps for the next few stages? After downloading the cert I was asked to rename it to .cer or .crt The .crt is for apache. Do you know which I should choose. Next I presume it needs to be converted using the website tool you posted. So I might have a few other questions. Thanks for the help so far.
  11. Thanks for the info. She only wanted DAB for Radio 6. Think I will get her a standard radio with Bluetooth as DAB is not so good in a car. Bit of a Pioneer lover so will start looking. Thanks again.
  12. It's the wife's Birthday soon and she needs a new car stereo. Problem is it needs to have both DAB and Bluetooth. I thought that by now you would be able to find this easily, but for some reason they do not make them with both DAB and Bluetooth, which is a bit odd if you ask me. So I was wondering if anyone had found what I am after or could recommend one.
  13. Thank you for your help so far glennda. I have another few question, hopefully I will not need to bother you to much after this. On the cert request page it is asking me to paste my csr info in to a blank box. What is the best way to get the csr? I was also wondering if Adito has a favourite key length, the certs come with a minimum of 1024-bit. What would you recommend?
  14. Also on the cert form it asks for server type and gives a long list of server types. What would you recommend for Adito? I am running Adito on a win XP box if that makes any difference. Thanks
  15. on the IPSCA website it says: Do they simply need the full school name or the registered domain name which would be schoolname.sch.uk
  16. Not having done anything like this before so might need a bit of help. The school do not have a signed cert so I will be creating a self signed cert. I found a few free programs that can do this like openssl but also found this tool, KeyStore Explorer - Home KeyTool explorer which looks like it uses the same java key system as Adito. I am not 100% sure what to do next and I cant seem to find much info on the net. I will play and see what I can come up with, but if you have any advice before I start it would be very welcome.
  17. I am playing with Adito, which is a mighty fantastic vpn / rdp tool, but the default certificate key is not very secure. I am looking at ways of updating the cert keys and wondered if anyone had done this already? If so do you have any pointers. Thanks
  18. I am confused about the hyper-v licencing in 2008r2 standard. OK so we seem to need separate licences for each vm and standard comes with one. Why does it say the physical machine can only be used to manage the virtual machine? Do you in effect get a free copy of server 2008r2? So with my single copy I can install the os, install hyper-v role and then using the same licence install 2008r2 as a vm? What if I have purchased 2 copies of 2008r2 can I install this with all the server roles (ad, DNS) and then using my other licence install 2008r2 as a vm, so both servers have roles? NB Just woken up so the above might not make much sense.
  19. Probably not what you are looking for but many schools, universities and companies use Google Apps, so yes it is secure. When you make a new document it is private, you then have a choice to make that document shared with specific people, shared with a group, shared with your domain or public on the web. If something is public on the web you can view it from your website.
  20. Sorry to hijack this ) When setting up my last server during the DCPROMO stage it displayed an error about not being able to use a RODC on this domain, which I believe is down to the method used while running adprep or domain prep. Is it possible to either fix this or add a BDC?
  21. Why not upload it to Google docs spreadsheet and let it build the graphs.
