We have a number of Hitachi's here and I'm not buying any more. First lot were great but last batch had loads of problems and Hitachi were a nightmare to deal with. Now looking at Sharp and SMART. We avoid any with Android as lets face it, they aren't going to support it after the first year, so why have it being a security risk. SMART seem to have some very good deals at the moment for one of the 'Big Players' I think they've found a lot of people opting for the less well known brands due to price. Well done on SMART for matching them! Shame Promethean can't think like this.

I've not although its no longer under direct warranty so I don't think they'd be interested. I'll go down the old Java route until an Open Source version can run it.

Covers over the top of the intakes so anything falling straight down is caught and ideally washes away from the intakes by rain water? Otherwise you just going to put more filters on which need cleaning/changing. Admittingly larger filters will last longer.

Hi All, I'm trying to manage our Dell SAN but the Dell EqualLogic software it runs requires Java which due to the licencing issues I'm not able to use. I've tried Amazon Corretto but it doesn't support web start apps. I've also tried OpenJDK which comes with IcedTea-Web which does but when I load the Dell software it just shows up blank. Looking online this also doesn't seem to work. Has anyone found a solution to this? Thanks, Rob

I've managed to resolve this. I inspected the package using the package editor and found some Windows & Microsoft folders in the package which didn't reference anything to do with Chrome. Remove them and re-published the package and it appears to be working.

Hi All, I'm trying to update our Chrome package in App-V 5.1 but each time I do, I get the following error: The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application. In event viewer I see the following error in the App-V Virtual Applications log: Error 18005 The virtual application 'C:\....chrome.exe' could not be started because the App-V Subsystem 'Virtual Filesystem' could not be initialized. {error: 0x74300E0A-0x20006} I've looked up this error and it seems to reference NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation needing to be enabled (Set to 2): https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/2777003/an-app-v-v5-virtualized-application-fails-to-start-with-error-0xc00001 However our clients already have this enabled and so does the sequencing machine. I've re-packaged it again this time using the enterprise installer rather than offline standalone installer but I'm getting the same error. Other packages and my older Chrome package are running fine. Has anyone managed to package up the latest Chrome or come across this problem before? I'm not sure what to try next. Thanks, Rob

I had this today. Looking online it suggested the image was x86 which can't be edited on a x64 server.

We use AppLocker but we also delete the shortcuts using GPP. You could do that short term while you look at AppLocker.

Create security groups and add your machines (Or machine groups) to it. Then use these security groups to assign the software. We do it this way and it works well.

When you add them via the web console, you need to use the shared folder path, IE: \\DFS\Namespace\Folder\Folder\Program.appv

Exa Education came out great for us. As for service, it works. Can't say much more than that. Let's face it that's all you want.

Edge is our default but we push out Adobe Reader which people can switch to. Mainly due to printing dialog box. Why Microsoft can't just provide a link to the system one like Chrome I don't know.

Ubiquiti SFP models work in our HP switches without issue. I often see this after making some changes. Like the server is still processing them. Do you find it works at the start or end of the day when the system is quieter?
