  1. I understood this to be the Meeting Roles bit rather than the Team membership itself. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/roles-in-a-teams-meeting-c16fa7d0-1666-4dde-8686-0a0bfe16e019
  2. Anyone else seeing this? Microsoft support are drawing a blank currently as 'Allow IP Video' only covers call video, rather that sharing video on a mobile device, and 'Screen sharing mode' covers screen sharing on desktop and mobile, but not share video. I've asked Microsoft to confirm what policy affects this but I get the feeling there isn't one. It's simply not possible to block it.
  3. Hi All, Its been brought to my action that some of our students have been able to share video when we have IP video disabled for students in our meeting policy. This is being done via share on a mobile device, so going to the three dots, share, then picking video from the list. Most staff are setting the who can present correctly to stop this be its concerning its allowed. We block screen sharing for students but allow PowerPoint sharing. My testing showed it wasn't blocked on the students device but my test staff account didn't receive it. So I don't think it it's 100% affective, or rather defected. I have a ticket open with Microsoft for this issue but as yet haven't heard from them. Has anyone else come across this issue? Thanks, Rob
  4. OBS + YouTube? https://obs.ninja is a great website for bringing remote cameras (Such as phones) in to OBS.
  5. If your on OVS you need to use Shared Computer Activation. Meaning all users need a A1 Plus licence, including any guests and exam accounts which use Office.
  6. Ideally you need to replace or install one larger POE switch per cabinet. For example each cab would have a 24 port POE plus some non POE switches. Make can be any you like but hard to ignore the Unifi range due to the features and price.
  7. I used to use a custom one but now I've changed the default to block the majority of things, then created a custom staff one which is applied to staff. The policy packages can't be used with customer policies (Unless I'm missing something) so we just apply them manually. However schools tend to have less staff and students so it's better having it that way round. Safer too.
  8. Well it'll show if its monitor or input source (Be that HDMI cable or HDMI output from your PC)
  9. They should match, I guess if you swap the monitors around it follows the HDMI?
  10. 4Gon or MS Distribution for UniFi gear. 4Gon tend to come in cheaper.
  11. Do you have creating meetings blocked for students?
  12. The teacher can end the meeting by using the 'End Meeting' option via the three dots when in the meeting. Also setting the 'Who can present' to Only me via the meeting options link on the calendar for each meeting helps with a number of issues. I think it also stops them joining before the teacher does but can't be 100% sure on that.
  13. Ediscovery should do this for you but might depend on your retention policies. Teams IMs come out as emails when you export them.
  14. It is a switch but its self powered so you don't need to worry about power going off.
  15. Ideally replacing with fibre would be the best option, but you could look at something like this: https://www.ui.com/unifi-switching/unifi-switch-flex/ Especially if the other end has a camera, wifi AP or some other POE device. I'm sure the distance will have some affect on the POE power you have at the end of the run however.
  16. We show news from our school website. Xibo loads a page designed with just a news slider. Staff can then create news posts for the website which get SLT approval. If it's an internal only message, then I do it manually in to Xibo.
  17. We call ours the Portal.
  18. Have a look here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/use-group-policy#configure-team-site-libraries-to-sync-automatically
  19. Yes you can sync using standard group policy. You need to get the library IDs from SharePoint which is a bit task. I used a Powershell script to get them for me. Then you put them in a Automatically sync these Sharepoint libraries. I put all mine in one policy applied to all staff but it only syncs ones staff have access too. It takes up to 30 minutes to start syncing on a new login, so when your testing give it plenty of time.
  20. For staff we sync departments teams using group policy and Onedrive. Staff and Students also have Onedrive synced. So you can simply save or open from file explorer. Onedrive then syncs it in to the cloud. We're considering going Onedrive only for our Year 7s in September.
  21. We luckily have SLT backing but we're also making sure old staff areas are marked as read only once in Office 365 and making it clear they are being retired.
  22. You can publish the file browser as a remote app. Allowing access to the mapped drives.
  23. Has anyone with a Smoothwall done this and if so do you have the list of URLs you used? I'm sure others would love to have them if you have. Otherwise I might have a go at creating a list if I get time later this week or next.
  24. Interesting to know, so those are normal TV displays, purchase from a IT reseller or home appliance supplier?
  25. It only appears once you've created it. So you have to save / send the meeting invite. Close the meeting appointment and then open it again.
