We've been trying to get Creo to work with @TimB's help, which we have done now. We installed the Creo package onto a client PC 1st. Then built a clean packagebuild PC - ran the application wizard. Copied the whole of the PTC folder from the 1st PC to the packagebuild PC - ran it & did second scan and it imported fine. (2.5GB) We've only pushed it out to 15 Macs (which are Bootcamped on Win7) at the moment and seems to be working fine. We had @TimB visit us beginning to the week and we've noticed a couple graphics glitches which we're trying to correct, but it doesn't affect the useability at all. Something probably due to the bootcamp mac driver. You'll need to set the permissions for users to be able to run scripts. In the RMMC, under Reg policies, User Policies, select usertype you want to change, Software Restrictions and leave "Disable the command prompt ticked, but the sub option "Disable the command prompt script processing" change to No. Set the shortcut properties to Start In N:\ so it'll default to their home directory first. Seems to run ok for us though! Looks a very impressive & very powerful programs. Working motors/physics on models you've made.

Most DVDs & bluerays you put in you can just click Stop-Stop-Play on the remote and it launches the film instantly. (More info) Assume this new thing will stop this?

We had a similar thing, however, wasn't a hardware issue, ended up being Symantec Endpoint Network Threat Protection blocking connections to and from servers and workstations.

I bought a suite of machines from them too in Aopen cases as they matched all the other ICT suites (The previous person in my job bought from them) and so had them in for the sales speech etc & shown a demo unit with Aopen case & was told the cases would be standard for ages (to be fair they are robust cases and nice & small) and then came to do the next suite told they'd replaced them with some other case. Was slightly annoyed too! Moved from them & been getting good prices for Stone equipment and thoroughly impressed with Quality & service so was happy to move away in the end.

Nice! Retro ICT lab! Although how would you secure that down? Would be annoying if you couldn't move the keyboard... Suppose kensington system? hummm

I'm getting exactly the same problem. Have v6 of HAP which is still running, but have made new folder (Not called it HAP though, does that matter?) put files in there and done a new application pool etc But now can't get past the error your getting too.

Hi, We've recently got a few copiers in, and I've edited the drivers using the driver editor. You can then set what options they can or can't do and make it pop up when required asking for the locked print details. Printer Driver Editor That may be the solution you've already found thou!

Loving the whole HAP system, cheers! Wondering if anybody could help, currently configuring the Static booking but even if I change the term to start this week on Week 2 it still reports week 1 so my timetable bookings are all incorrect. Any ideas what setting I need or can change to force the week to be week 2 this week? Cheers Gaz

Was going to suggest lojack 4 laptops, but Prey seems to do quite a bit for free! Lojack does imbed into the hardware though, so even formattings doesn't remove it. Will have a play with Prey though. Cheers for the linky!

We've got CCTV in all our ICT suites, it was already in place when I started so can't comment on the resistance part for installation. But pupils are made fully aware there is CCTV, the teachers love having it there as a backup (even when trying to find their lost keys on one occasion! ..sigh..) On the whole we get very little vandalism in the suites, and usually the teacher threatening to check the cctv is enough for the pupil to own up before hand. We've got a samsung dvr system (probably quite an outdated system now), requires very little attention. ticks along nicely...

Got this working, and it's very impressive indeed. So huge thanks for sharing! Going to have a tweak and see if I can incorporate some costing to it, but it's a complicated issue as we've got different suppliers & costs each time. May just have it pop up and ask for the Price & Toner (as we have this written on each toner) when clicking on the toner allocation and add the information into the reports table... But loving it, cheers!!

Marvellous! That didn't take long then! Was just thinking about trying to block http://www.google.co.uk/accounts that way google is ok, but they can't log into google to change the background.... Can't see why I've have any problems with that?

I'm assuming there's not a way of stopping it then... Just I'm wondering how long it'll be before the kids start bringing pictures in or downloading risque images to set as their google homepage background... Its not a huge problem as I guess, assume it'll reset each they they log off & on anyway... Will go and have a play!
