Best animator software for schools - not Crazytalk!
gumbygaz replied to Novalee's topic in Educational Software
We use Zu3D Comes with an MSI package and really very easy to roll out. It's a little childish looking but is pretty good and easy to use, 6th form here use it and don't mind! Has features like Chrome-Key removal etc and magic eraser which will remove wires etc from all frames if you remove from the first one apparently.- 3 replies

My fault...wrong link, not enough tea been drunk this morning! They do have left to left USB Cables - A to Micro B
-
Oh aye, see what you mean... Don't blame you with adaptors too, they'll soon go missing too. Seems America has the solution A to Micro B - Right Angle to Right Angle but that's not much use... Sorry!
-
Anything on here that would do? angle usb **edit** hummm seems most of the cables are out of stock! doh! Or go for something like this, and use the normal cable supplied with the tablets?

Not sure which forum to put this into, but just wondering if anybody who's using Mailfinder (www.mailfinder.co.uk) are able to get in contact with them? I've tried website/freephone number and numbers on the signature and not getting through. Suspect it's ceased trading but just hoping they're on holiday or phones been down a couple days. Our current licence has now elapsed and we're using it quite a bit, but looks like will need to find an alternative solution. Thanks Gaz

Thought as much cheers!

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but getting speckles on a Mitsu DLP projector I assume it's not a simple case of cleaning it to fix? Cheers Gaz

I've got it working on a couple machines now - Basically by removing all the permissions on the calendar for all users including the Default & Anonymous ones on the client PC (Powershell doesn't allow Default/Anoymous to be removed with script from my quick goes with it) Then added the user who needs the permission back as Publishing Author & This seems to have worked. Default permissions are added back automatically by outlook which is fine. The fact Anonymous doesn't reappear could well be problem? So further testing may be required.... Wondering if because they're migrated accounts from 2003 the permissions are corrupt and when playing with it I never actually removed the Default/Anonymous ones as just assumed these weren't an issue but must have been over ruling the ones being set... However, you more thank likely may have already done this - not sure why I'd not tried it sooner! From Googling it seems to be an random problem people get - Whether I can get/make a script which will fix for all users I don't know. Otherwise it'll be a user guide to send out, nobody to read and then for me to do manually Gaz

Damn, how bloody annoying. Just managed to convince SLT about how good a system it would be for them to all sync and maintain calendars this way only to discover this when trying to demo it to them! Used to work great on our 2003 setup - Typical, will do some further digging and testing and let you know if find anything out but sounds like you many many steps ahead of us and still no closer. Thanks Gaz

Morning, Been tasked with this and getting a 1604 MSI failure when pushing Virtualbox out. Guess it's down to the unsigned drivers. Any chance you could give me a couple pointers how you managed to get round that issues @synaesthesia? Huge thanks! Gaz -

gumbygaz replied to sonofsanta's topic in How do you do....it?
We've got Gladstones coming in for a demo next week so some interesting questions to ask! Thanks. Out of interest, we had Trust-E/Nationwide last week demo their stuff. Looks all very impressive and robust. Just wondering if you saw them at all and ruled them out for a particular reason? Cheers -
Interesting indeed, we've got a few of the old 560's too will drop you an email too Helene. Thanks
