    Morning all A school that we look after bought 50 Neo 2 at the company discontinued sale about 4 years ago. They were working fine before the October half term and pulling all the quizzes down from the accelerated readers website. Now all of a sudden they have stopped working, contacted accelerated reader that look after the hardware and they said that might of done an update that has broken it. They have also said that they don't provide support for this product anymore and only support the web browser from now on. The neos let me login and they are talking to the website, just not pulling the quizzes down when I type the number in. Was seeing if anyone else has had the same issue in the last 4 weeks or so. If any one could help would appreciate it. Thanks Nathan

    We use forti analyzer but that is because we have a fortigate Firewall, don't know if it works independent from the fortigate. It works really well, pulls google searches all youtube searches, websites etc. We make the children sign into the web browser through our firewall that is using ldap, so that the kids can use their ad credentials to login (saves another login_. This is how we do the shared devices monitoring and reports.

    Cannot believe people still separate the networks. It becomes a pain to manage and people want to use different computers and access there files just becomes a nightmare. So I would merge them into one

    we use veeam is amazing and it has helped us out a couple of time really worth the money. I wouldn't put a price on losing data as it is the heart of every day life now.

    Why have you got three servers could you not get away with one we have a remote desktop with the RD Gateway, Connection broker and the RD Session host only had to buy one trusted certificate that is it then you costs will be kept down the costs. We bought a UCC 5 certificate and installed that on the remote desktop server and other server eg: mail, webserver, etc that will keep the cost down to. hope this helps?

    I would defo try separate the Cctv cameras onto a different vlan and if possible try to separate onto a different upload port as well as you will notice massive improvement. Do you view the Cctv anywhere in school or is there a specific person that views the footage, if that is the case then I would assume it is on the main school network. If thay is e case you would have to configure them ports to allow it though to access the cameras . Cctv broadcast and steam a lot of video with is a massive strain on the network to. We installed a separate Cctv network from the main school network because of the high traffic. I am assuming that all the switches are on a 1gb backbone??

    Is your network running slow if it was me then i would run the cctv on a separate Vlan and a separate upload port if you have spare fibre's to the cabients. It all depends if the cameras are plugged into to if it one cabinet then i would just vlan the switches in that cabient and to the server. how many computers, laptops, ipad you talking on the network to?

    Okay then thanks for that we have about 40 45 of the 7363 so looks like we would have to stay with it as the cost for new ones will be too much.

    Hi We have the following models at the min R600 ZF-7341 ZF-7343 ZF-7352 ZF-7363 ZF-7762 We currently have 75 license but would be upgrading to 100 more than likely. Could you get me a quote and I could pass this onto my boss to make the decision. I know that we bought an additional 25 licenses and I know that they cost quite abit. the hyper-v are currently running 2012 -r2 but don't you give it a separate virtual machine?. Also is the virtual interface the same as the physical as we tunnel all the guest traffic through the controller at the min. Thanks Nathan

    hi I was wondering if anyone transferred from a physical box to a virtual box that manages all the wireless systems. If so I have a few questions 1. did you have to by new access points to support this or does any model support this. 2. If you bought additional licenses do these transfer across 3. Is it reliable and performance is okay on hyper-v. 4. does it cost a lot to implement or is it cheaper than replacing a physical controller. Thanks Nathan

    That is what we are doing we are taking them on the six weeks but need to get stuff changed etc?. We have been with the county for about 15 years all I house best thing we ever did.

    yeah I know what you mean about it been a business, I wouldn't do it for free but something that only take literally 10 seconds to do £95 is bit steep. If someone asked to change the password on the active directory would you charge them for two mouse clicks and a few taps on a keyboard?. Also they are in a contract to so surely this should be included?.

    £95 for a Aruba Management password change. No wonder schools have no money this is basically a ten second job and someone is charging us £95 quid to change it, so we can have access to the system. Is this a standard charge because I feel like it is day light robbery. How can they charge this much.

    Hi We have Sccm current branch and was wondering how other people push out iTunes. As I know it is a pain in the arse has anyone got a easy solution to deploy it. If it aint easy to install iTunes then is there away of just installing the latest mobility drivers so that the computers can recognise the iPads to download the pictures? Thanks

    If you have the ruckus controller you can tunnel all the vlan traffic down that you would only have to tag the internet port with which ever vlan you chose

    have you tried disabling the virtual machine queue on the hyper v Network card that was a major issue with us with performance issues on the network.

    Morning we have recently updated the scam server and now all the clients are showing with question marks, it is as if they are not checking in. Just seeing if anyone has a work around as the last back up of the server was about 12 weeks ago as it is only a build server and I really don't want to go to this as it might break things when going through the process again. Any support would be great Thanks Nathan

    Should I be running sccm 2016 then?. I can get windows 10 push with this version of sccm but cannot get it join the network that is all? And the drive letter
